First, Diamonds is now in Yardville, not Pennington. I must say that the food is very good but very expensive as compared to places like The Stone Terrace and Ruth Chris. I had a Colossal Crab cake which was $50. That's ridiculous compared to Ruth...Chris which is $35 or The Stone Terrace which is $31.50. Diamonds better be careful with their prices or they may price themselves right out of business. But to be fair if you don't mind spending a lot, then Diamonds just might be your place.More

I went for the first time on New Year's Eve. We just wanted to go someplace to have a nice meal and maybe dance a little. We had a table of nine. We had someone come for our drink order, I asked her for separate...checks but she told me it should be no problem, talk to the waiter. Then a second person came to give us the specials, I asked him and he said tell the waiter, should be no problem. Then our waiter came, AKA Mr. Grumpy, and said he could split the table in half but no separate checks, abruptly. I spoke to the owner/manager, very tan in a white suit. He apparently thinks the most important thing is walking around saying hi, ask if things are good and then doesn't care anyway. I asked him about the separate checks and he said it was too many,5, to do that. So, when the check came, with a dinner added no one got, we wasted about 30 minutes of our night passing around the bill and a little flashlight figuring out who owes what. 30 minutes of my fun because they couldn't handle separate checks. and I'm a big tipper because I'm a hairstylist and I work for tips as well, but 20% should only be for good service, not a grumpy waiter. By the way, while I was out dancing I came back to the table and saw a couple of my group had dessert and coffee. Apparently Mr. Grumpy wasn't coming back to see if the others wanted anything for dessert or coffee. Mr.owner/manager just kept greeting, hugging and kissing those he knew, not real caring of the happiness of his clients. No wonder this place keeps moving around and that also explains why several people tried to warn me. AND,,,,,ridiculously overpriced. You need to move this place to New York for those prices and by the way, the days of running a restaurant like that went away a loooong time ago. Poorly runMore

We visited this restaurant at the request of friends for the first time. The food was ok but not great. We love dancing and were told that there would be plenty of room to do so. Unfortunately, not the case. As we proceeded to try...to dance in front of the band, the manager came over to us and asked us to go in the back of the bar to dance. I looked at him in disgust and asked if he was kidding. His answer was “” no I’m serious”. I was appauled at the lack of respect and consideration. The only saving grace to this place was the service at the bar. The female bartenders were awesome. Will I visit again? Absolutely not!!!!!More

Diamonds Hamilton restaurant is still open and will accept previously purchased gift certificates from the Pennington location for one year. It was a good replica of the original restaurant in "the Burg," and the bar was always hopping. We hope something of the same quality...will open in Diamonds' place.More

I visited from Florida to Hamilton Diamonds location...my 42 year old son who had a disagreement with management at previous visit. I went there this evening with my friend, and was told I or any of my friends were NOT welcome in the establishment. I...was shocked and embarrassed and we were told to leave. I nor my friends will ever go to Diamonds again because of this unjust and uncalled for treatment by the bartender and manager Jayme.More

This restaurant had been around forever in Trenton. I ate there a few times and thought it was OK, but didn’t see what the fuss was about. Now it’s located in Pennington, a cute town outside of Trenton, and I decided to try it again....The food is definitely Italian, but it’s nothing like the Mom and Pop restaurant it replaced in that location. It’s romantic and upscale, with friendly, professional service. And the dishes we had were delicious - I had scallops, seared just right, with a wonderful mushroom risotto, and my husband had a crab cake the size of a small grapefruit which was all crab, no breading. And since Pennington is closer to us than Trenton, I know we’ll be back.More

To start we were seated 25 minutes late for our reservation and treated rudely by the host which he continued to do the rest of the evening. We were rudely told no without explanation when we asked to be seated at a quieter vacant table...nearby. The meal took exceptionally long and one of the 4 meals was wrong. While service, apparently the kitchen was either understaffed or overwhelmed, the food was good. My friend was given the option of eating the incorrect dish or waiting 15 minutes for the correct one. We obviously would finished with our meals by then. When he asked if they would come the meal, the answer was again, no. So he said he would just not eat. The server return with same meal a minutes later and offered it at no charge which should been the offer initially. It was a 3 hour ordeal and I doubt if we will ever go back. That’s sad since we used to enjoy the restaurant.More

Upon entering, the decor was outdated and not welcoming. My wine glass was dirty. The homemade bread which cost $10. extra was a joke. It was just the house bread with some cheese melted on it. The barbecued shrimp app. was three measly shrimp and...just fair. The pasta dishes were over-oiled with black (old) mushrooms. Highly unsatisfied!! It was noted on reservation that it was a birthday celebration, and this was not even mentioned. Don't waste your money!!!More
