My wife and I were passing through and stopped into this restaurant for a quick bite. We walked in at approximately 5:30 and were greeted by the hostess. We informed her that we will take a seat at the bar. The restaurant and bar were not crowded at this time. The bartender approached us and ask us what we would... More

My husband and I like to go here for a nice night out. The food is really good. The portions are HUGE so we share a plate. They charge a few extra dollars but split the meal as if two separate orders. We like it here. It does get crowded so its not a romantic spot. But the tables are... More

We were at an American Legion Post and asked about places to eat. They told us about El Cid and warned us it was a little pricy and might not be able to get a seat because of the time we were going. They were right on both counts. The food was fantastic with big servings. W got there before... More

I have to admit I find large portions off-putting, but even so, this place takes excess to an absurd level. It seems to be a matter of taste, of course, but serving one person several pounds of beef or a ten pound lobster seems wrong on many levels. That being said, the place is noisy and the quality of food... More

The food was delicious, and plentiful. I'm a big guy and the portion was a challenge even for me. The service was fantastic and the atmosphere was friendly and inviting. The food and wine was pricey, but I felt I got my money's worth. The place was difficult to find and you need a reservation..

El Cid has great prime rib dinner but you have to get there real early as they run out rather quickly. There seafood is almost on par with portuguese restaurants within car distance but just fails to meet the mark on that. if you get there later be prepared to wait. lastly it is NOISY in the restaurant so if... Ate upstairs which got a little loud due to some large mouthy groups but it didn't take away from the meal. Had the spicy steak tips to start, which were melt-in-your-mouth delicious, and you can add more spice by eating the hot peppers that are in the pan. I had a 3 pound steamed lobster, which was easy to dissect,... More

It's pricey but you get your money's worth with out a doubt. I always have leftovers and I'm a big guy.

Attended a repass luncheon here, the management provided a separate room on short notice which was upstairs (no elevator). There were 4 choices of entree I believe chicken Francese, salmon, shrimp dish or beef.Everyone raved about all of the dishes.
