To Say this was an amazing experience would be an understatement. Everyone was super polite the parking was good, facility was clean, food was insane. We’ve tried three different pizzas this trip, two of which were in New York. This one wins!!! Kudos!

Every region has a style of pizza they are known for. The Jersey bar pie is in a class by itself. It's a thin crust pizza with the sauce and cheese to the end. We ordered three pizzas between four people. The pepperoni pie was...delicious, especially with hot honey! Great service and great selection of beers!More

My wife and I had a really great date night at Star Pizza Tavern. Really amazing tasty bar pie with Eggplant. Had a few salads and some drinks. Simple no frills. The waitress was very pleasant. Parking lot right next to the city Tavern Bar....Pretty crowded on a Thursday bad weather night.... which means one thing. Good food and good drinks.More

I love star tavern but my last visit the wings which are usually great but in August they were cooked what appeared to be over microwaved …. Hard and no part the chicken was edible . The lasagna was cold and a little icy when...I got home. Seems like most of my go to restaurants lately have fallen a bit. Hopefully this is only one bad visit.More

The overflow parking lot is a mess every weekend! Loud music blasting from parking lot drinking and loads of people just hanging by the cars it’s like a party and dangerous. Simple fix hire a cop to control!

I have been coming to the Star Tavern since I was a child over 30 years they just recently renovated the entire restaurant during the covid-19 closure, the booths are brand new, they have new tables and chairs the bar area is remodeled and it...is all beautiful. just had lunch there yesterday with an old friend and the pizza pie was as great as I remember it. service is always great Jackie was behind the bar she is a fantastic bartender , I have known her for years it's always a pleasure to stop into the Star Tavern and have a chat with Jackie and enjoy some delicious food. They are super conscious of the covid-19 virus, they clean the bar area and tables after each person leaves. they wear gloves masks and sanitize everything I was very impressed with how clean and conscious they were of the covid-19 crisis this is a safe place to go and eat I felt very safe thereMore

SO glad they reopened during the quarantine.. you can't eat there but we take out. Best pizza in northern NJ.. they get busy but it's worth the wait. I order ahead by 1 to 2 hours so its ready when I arrive. They use real...milk mozzarella cheese and have a very thin crust.. one pizza is good enough for 2 normal sized adults. if you eat like a cow as one guy mentions he could eat 3 and you want doughy bread to fill you up then don't go here. .Although, some of you may have room for some of the appetizers first that are also fresh. It may be more expensive but it won't break the bank. You pay for quality. My husband and I usually get pepperoni and extra cheese and 'well done' so it' rich and extra crunchyThe pepperoni is cut in thick slices and delicious.More

The food was great! The restaurant itself was a true tavern. The staff was not the best, but not bad either. The problem is the location. Orange isn't a nice neighborhood, to say the least. There's a guy asking for money nearby, and I wouldn't...be surprised to see a drug dealer just around the corner. Very nice, but have caution.More

The pizza is great but the place is not very clean. The service is average and waiting is long most of the time. If one doesn't care for best service and cares only for good food, this is the place to be. I will go...there again.More

This is the best thin crust pizza in NJ. And their eggplant parmigiana is great, too! I've been going there for at least 45 years and it's still the best ever!

The thin crust pizza is very tasty and good. But a few of our group had their sub sandwiches which were average to poor. The cheesesteak sub was especially poor. Service was average. We had expected more of this Tavern.
