La Fusta NJ opened in April 2004. As of January 2020 it is under new management. We are working hard to renew our menu and services. We hope to re-open as soon as the governor allows it, so that our guests can experience the new and improved version of La Fusta NJ Sincerely, La Fusta NJ Management.

Not ssure if family running place might be Portuguese or not. A clean, comfortable dining room with attentive staff. The meal was DELICIOUS. Jicama chips with marinara and fresh pesto as well as warm crusty bread, followed by possibly the laargest tosssed salad marinated in a seasoned oil and vinegar. Drinks were strong and delicious, especially the Manhattan. Entrees of fresh spinach ravioli, and charred pork chops in a peppery garlic marinara. ALL GOOD.

Good classic Argentinian cuts

Even the location of the restaurant is not the best the food sure makes up for it; the cuts are larger than most places so if you love meat and lots of it you will be happy there. This place has become my go to whenever I don't feel like trying something new. Great sangria and mojitos, and their wine selection is not bad either.

Close to my accommodation - saved my evening

Found it with the help of the motel staff, thank god it was close to the very bad Wyndham HOJO - saved the night. Steak was excellent and perfectly prepared!

1) Attention enough 2) Good meat patties 3) The terrible matambre 4) the emptiness and the lousy barbecue 5) The price is quite expensive 6) The pancakes with dulce de leche are terrible 7) The noquis with mixed sauce excellent! 8) The cervesas were the best of all because they were at a perfect temperature The conclusion I would not eat again at La Fusta seemed expensive and has much to improve the quality of food

Great Beef

We dined here with some friends we usually do not go out for steak but this is one of their favorite spots. tried the beef ribs and the stuffed veal with Russian salad food service was a cheerfull

Consistently great food

Been traveling to NYC for years for work. Stay near La fusta restaurant. Woukd rather dine there then any place in NYC. Love the staff....food...owners are hands on. Always a treat to stop in.

I'm not used to lave any comments but i have to tell that I had an awesome experience. I've been a customer for many years but I don't go very often lately. I had a reunion for my birthday and everything was perfect, Food,and Service!!!!! Oscar the waiter and all staff. Guys thank you so much!!!!!

Good food disappointed with tip policy

This place has good food but they forced us to pay 20% as tip. We do not agree that this should be mandatory but a suggestion. That disappointed us very much.

I was a little bit dissapointed with the taste of their steaks, I have been to many argentineans restaurants, where I was impressed with their service and quality. There was no decortion on any of the appetizers or entree.

Even the kids loved it

got in early, 17h15, almost empty, which was perfect for us with 4 kids. sat down, we had appetizers and drinks in hand super quickly, the staff was out of this world, super attentive, great food, decore is super nice, hint... try their sangria.. :)

Nice surprise

Nice atmosphere, good food and good service. After checking into the Howard Johnson DUMP next door this was a much need lift to my spirits. Ordered the flab steak cooked medium. It was a healthier portion than expected and tasted great. The cut was thicker at one end so the thicker end was more medium rare and the thinner end was more medium well but still well enjoyed.

Best Argentinean bbq restaurant 5 minutes from Jersey City

La Fusta Restaurant is the best place around Jersey City where you can taste the real argentinean bbq. We usually eat rib strips and thin skirt steaks or parrillada which is my best recommendation if you are looking for the real asado tasting. The place also has it own parking what makes it still much easier.

Don't Let the Outside Fool You!

WOW!! We walked next door from the hotel hoping to just have something edible and were so glad we did! Outstanding service, food, ambiance, selections, dessert - the entire experience was wonderful!!! Our first "Argentinian food" experience. We took our grand-daughter of 8 yrs old and the server let her practice a little Spanish and smiled when she confused some French words with Spanish. He was so patient and kind when, the native English speaker, practiced and learned a new cultural experience! Even offering her a special bit of "Argentine dessert"! A MUST!!!
