Ordered via UberEats for pick up for 5:45 on a Tuesday. The lot is pretty cramped but I managed to nab the last spot. I ordered the Dinner for Two (meat samosa, chicken tandoori, chicken tikka masala, saag paneer, raita, rice, naan). The meat samosa was good, no complaints there. The chicken tandoori was my fave - the meat was very tender. The chicken tikka on the other hand was kind of dry, even when drowned in the sauce. I really like the saag paneer. It was nice because this isn’t something I normally would have ordered, so I got to try something different. The naan was pretty standard.
The portions were more than enough for two people. We had enough leftovers for the next day so we ended up making our own naan “pizza”, using the sauce as the base and chicken as toppings.
I’m still on the fence if I would come back because chicken tikka is my favorite dish and it missed the mark here. But when I went in for pick up, I did see a buffet table (probably from lunch). I’ve been wanting to try an Indian buffet so that I can try new dishes without committing to a whole meal of it, but it has been hard to find since covid. So if they do have that, I would definitely give Kamal Palace a second try.

I really like this place. However, i did not enjoy the 4% credit card fee which would have been nice to know

Our go-to local Indian restaurant! For the price, the Kamal Palace LUNCH BUFFET is SPOT ON! So much to choose form and very fresh! Brought out in smaller portions so as not to dry out, they keep it filled so you always will find a favorite! Vegetarian, chicken, salad, and sweets all for the taking! Give it a try for LUNCH or DINNER, it wont disappoint!

I'm a huge foodie and I just wish I can eat all my favorite local spots more frequently, especially this place. They serve high quality delicious Indian dishes. We love the Tikka Masala and Chicken Dans Ik, the balance of sweet and spicy is addicting. We usually take out, but its better to go and eat there.

I highly recommend this restaurant. We went there for my birthday after spending the day at Ellis Island in the cold. I ordered the Shrimp Tikka Masala which was very tasty. The lamb samosas were really TASTY. We had a larger table so it took a considerable amount of time to get our food, but that didn't sour our time there. The restaurant is rather far from home, but if I'm in the area again, I will definitely stop by. Highly recommended!!!!

This is a small BYOB restaurant. The food was good and nicely spiced, however, I think they could be a bit more generous with the amount of chicken they serve in each dish (comparing them to other Indian restaurants we have visited throughout the States). The wait staff was attentive and proactive, offering to bring more rice, which was a plus.

This is pretty much the only Indian Food restaurant in the immediate area but its still a great place to come and eat.
The buffet is small but has good food and a reasonable price. Take out is always gobbled up in our house and prices are reasonable. Service in the restaurant is attentive! Its small but that's not necessarily a bad thing sometimes. Parking can be limited so you may have to park on the street but its not a far walk! Overall, a great place for Indian food and great for a change of pace over the "USU-al" cuisine offered in this area.

I came here with my husband and father-in-law when we were returning to Jersey from the city. I happened to be craving Indian food this particular night and I didn't have to look any further than Kamal Palace. Our waiter was excellent in his attentive service to our table. All three of us ended up getting the dinner buffet. For $14.99 per person for the buffet, you really couldn't go wrong. They had many dishes on their lovely buffet spread including vegetable samosas, rice dishes, chicken masala, and much more. We also got naan bread (comes with the buffet option), which our waiter brought to our table. Overall, we loved everything about our dinner and we'll definitely be back when in the area.

Even though they have many items on their buffet, nothing stands out for flavor. Theyere is a lack of spice and a low level of hotness in all the dishes.

We and another couple had the dinner buffet tonight at this typical suburban New Jersey Indian restaurant. The food was OK, but nothing special. There was no zip to the dishes and the level of hotness was pretty low. Service was fine and our water glasses were refilled without request. The cost was pretty low and the assortment of offerings was more than adequate. Hot bread is served. There was a steady business in take-out meals, and by the time we left nearly every table was taken. Parking is in front or on the street.

We went here for the dinner. It was a small cozy place. It was a rainy night and we were in the look of a place near to the hotel and a quick search landed us here. The food was quite good and we were happy to find it.
