I have not been to this restaurant for many years so I was excited to have the garlic shrimp and seafood paella. We were greeted by a grumpy waiter who pointed to our table. A few minutes later he tossed menus at us. The general atmosphere was of waiters that have been there for so long, they couldn't stand another... More

The food, service and atmosphere in Spain are top notch. We are always welcomed, as if old friends. If you are looking for authentic food, excellent sangria and a belonging atmosphere away from the maddening crowd, this is the place. Spain offers so much more than the big names on Ferry St and Rte 21. Have frequented this establishment for... More

The food at Spain is always very good. The waiters will always tell you about the daily special-- shrimps Ina garlic sauce.i love the staff. The waiters still wear tuxedos. The,steaks are huge. My favorite is the ternera extremena, veal with sausage peppers onions. I highly recommend, as the prices are much more reasonable than the other restaurants.

We visited this restaurant after looking for a place to eat coming out of Penn Station. Short walk, looked nice so we gave it a try. Very polite waiters. Got a table quickly. Ordered a couple of starters, but was advised that maybe one to share would be enough. Had a seafood paiela type of dish. Omg it would make... More

Great Spanish restaurant with an authentic atmosphere. Our waiter was the real deal and served us exceptionally well throughout the evening. Starting with the Sangria, which was great we tried the mix seafood platter. This came with vegetables and was easily a size for two people. The seafood was very fresh, only complaint was the shrimp were a little overcooked.

We have been going to this wonderful Spanish/Portuguese restaurant for years, The food is delicious and the drinks awesome. The staff is top notch. We normally eat at the bar, but for special occasions (like Valentines Day) we will take a table. My personal favorite is the lemon chicken, but I cant say that I've ever had a bad dish.... More

What to do for dinner while waiting for your train?? Only ONE Answer!! Just two blocks from Newark Penn Station is Spain Restaurant in a quaint old and cozy setting. It is like a 1970s trip in time. I've been coming to Spain restaurant for 10 years now and they never disappoint. The best paella and sangria I've ever had. If you are from out of town and never had spaniard food before because it's too expensive in your area... You must come here. Last night I had their special: grilled seafood... And oh my God I died... More

Four of us went on a Saturday night in September 2015. Our friends had been many times before and were surprised that it was less than half full. Nice menu choices - meat and fish. Large portions, attentive service, old-fashioned waiters. There was a guitar-playing singer who did the traditional Spanish-language songs everyone knows - La Bamba, La Cucaracha, etc.... More

The paella was tasty and could honestly feed 2-3 people. The bread is great for sopping up the delicious seafood juices. If you're a beer drinker, you can wash down your meal with a bottle of Mahou.
