Loved this place. Went here for dinner before a hockey game. Just a word of caution, get there early because it is right outside the Prudential Center. We ended up having to wait 45 minutes, but that was no fault of the restaurant. The place was packed and for good reason. The menu is BBQ and lots of choices. Food... More

Basic American food in a casual atmosphere. Rustic style. Simple dining. Off street park is a bit of a challenge.

I always hear about Dinosaur BBQ, and the one in Syracuse being so good. Was really excited to eat at this one because NJ is lacking good BBQ. Well this was nothing but ok. Ribs were ok, pulled pork ok, brisket ok but the wings were good. Really disappointing even though it was decent.

Fried green tomatoes, whipped sweet potato and beef brisket - Soul food heaven. Service was slow and at times disorganised (like bringing our sides when we were virtually finished). However the staff were friendly and food was so reasonable and excellent.

Went here with a colleague in January. Service was fantastic. Food was very good, but not fantastic BBQ. I would eat here again, but it would not be my pick.

The only reason that to go here is because of a game at the Prudential Center. Other than that, not really worth making a trip into Newark. Staff is clearly overwhelmed on game night, which is surprising because that's their main source of business so you would thing they'd be better prepared. Average BBQ, average service. If you have time... More

I don't write reviews, but this place was that bad. They got 2 ppl in the kitchen for a packed restaurant. No bus boys and here's the best part, went to the bathroom twice there: first time the toilet was clogged, the second time the toilet is still clogged. No silverware until our meal came and we asked for it.... More

We were headed to a Devils game at the Prudential Center and didn't want to stray too far from our hotel so we stopped by this joint and weren't disappointed. But, as the title suggests, if you're planning to attend on the evening of a Devils game, show up early - it started getting really busy around 4:45pm and there... More

Just landed in Newark and with jetlag, we started with perfect ribs and gumbo, then we looked around and saw a very pleasant restaurant, good atmosphere and great music. American when it is best. And they had Dogfish Head on tap, best IPA in the world.

Fabulous! Too many items to select just one, so we went family style and got the ribs, brisket, chicken bbq with sides of jambalaya, bean, mac&cheese and coleslaw. So juicy and tasty. Everyone got a good helping of everything. Happy tummy's all around.
