I got off a late flight and was starving! Barcade was the only place open around my hotel so I stopped in for a few beers and a meal. They had great local beers on tap and the bartender was great and let me sample...beers and offered tips. There is hungry and there is Fat Ironbound hungry! I ordered the Fat Ironbound not knowing how big this sandwich really was. You only see these types of sandwiches on the Food Network. It was a roll stuffed with chicken, bacon, ham, and fries. Not only was it big, but it was delicious! I highly recommend getting the Fat Ironbound if you think you can finish it. My wife had the Grilled Chicken Sandwich and loved it as well. I did not play any of the arcade games, but highly recommend Barcade as a place to come to for beer and food!More

PLUS - Parking in a private garage with physical security guards; Food was excellent - Try the falafel sliders. Craft beers are perfectly priced and games are 25cents. Bartenders are friendly and knowledgeable. NEGATIVE - You are carded as soon as you enter the establishment....Yes, I'm 40 something and I look young for my age, but teenager I am not. So Unnecessary. Don't come here to people watch or snag your next boyfriend. It's more of a date night scene.More

I consider myself a seasoned foodie. The food in this place is typical frozen, fried, greasy bar food. I won't be back unless I get the urge to play Donkey King The best thing about this place is the beer

I guess if you can't get them with food or service you get them with the "cade". Reminded my of high school hang out. It is a gimmick bar. So if you like to drink and play in an Arcade then go.If you want to...socialize you will run screaming out the doorMore

My husband and I were in Newark for an event. We were told Barcade was a must to experience. We found the place to be okay, nothing special. I wouldn't go back, should we ever go to Newark again.

An awesome place for a fun night out in downtown Newark. The beer selection is terrific, and the vintage arcade games are well chosen and a total blast! The food is very decent for bar food...just go and let the good times roll!

I think it is too small, and not enough privacy
