Along with Keens in NYC our choice after a nationwide quest to find the best steakhouse our very top choice. We've visited many of the respected Mealtime.com's Top 50 Steakhouses in America, including the top, 2nd, 4th and 5th best. Stage Left must be discovered by steak lovers. Its co-owners Marc and Francis run it and Ira upstairs' sister bistro... More

We have heard about Stage Left, so during restaurant week, we decided to try it. The appetizer dumping and grilled baby octopus were good, dinner's flat iron steak was good, but the Silverfin fish was too dry and too sweet. The major problem was the service. Our waitress did not show up to tell us about the menu for a... More

This was a memorable experience. Three of us shared what was one of the great steak meals I have eaten. We had the Tomahawk Rib Eye which was served an a sizzling plate. The meat literally melted in the mouth. The sides of Brussels Sprouts and Truffle Mashed Potatoes were perfectly cooked. The prices were high but well worth the... More

We had dinner at Stage Left after attending my brother-in-law's graduation from Rutgers at the State Theatre. The service was professional, and our service person was exceptionally knowledgeable concerning their extensive wine selection. There are two menus: one with various dishes, and a second that offers selections of various meats. My wife and brother-in-law each ordered the filet mignon, and... More

My wife and I went here to eat after viewing a show at the State Theater in New Brunswick. We did not have reservations but they did find an open table in their outdoor sidewalk area. Great. The menu was offered to us and the pricies took my breath away. We skipped the appetizer and just ordered the entree: smoked... More

This is a comfortable high end restaurant that serves really good food. And there is something for everyone. They have a full menu and within the menu is their "steakhouse" offerings. I actually had the cheeseburger (I know it sounds lame) but it was great. The other people I was dining with had steak and they all loved their meals.... More

Gets our award as Best Steak in U.S. The Tomahawk Ribeye at "only" $145 was a euphoric experience ... worth the lofty price. They offer a full ray of almost as good steaks, drinks, nice decor and ambience. The staff is very cordial and knowledgeable. No valet parking, it's available a short walk across the street at the hotel.

This place is great when you have a few dollars to spend. The most consistent items on the menu are the burger and the lobster Mac and cheese. These are amazing. But this is a pricey restaurant and when I can afford it I love to go here.
