Many of the chinese restaurants in the area have lost the quality aspect of cooking and caring about it. Yangtze is one of the few that still tastes good.

Heard good things about this restaurant from a friend of my wife, so we went there to see for ourselves. The site is small and has few tables and is more of a take out establishment, which is what we did. My wife had the Walnut Shrimp, while I tried the Roast Pork Lo Mein, both were good tasting but we could have had the same much closer to home. Since we were in the area, we're glad we tried it, but won't go out of our way to return.

This is a take out only place. The food is usually good. We've ordered out from this place several times. The counter help is efficient but not overly friendly. The portions are fair and the food is tasty. So, if you're looking for good Chinese take-out, this could fit the bill.

My husband placed an online order which you'd think would avoid translation issues. WRONG!! An order of fried vegetable dumplings came out as steamed pork dumplings. The broccoli in garlic sauce, sauce on the side was transformed into steamed chicken and vegetables with brown sauce on the side. I'm vegetarian, so basically this left me with nothing to eat since DH had ordered chicken mu shu (no vegetable on menu). The parking lot is awkward at best and you must pay cash or suffer a service fee to use a card. The woman who responded when we called said "I didn't charge you extra for the chicken". I didn't order it or the brown sauce, so you did over charge. They were not apologetic in the least. The prices are not great either.

I had moo goo gai pan and hot and sour soup. Prices were a little higher than most chinese takeouts at 9.95 for combination platter with egg roll. Egg roll was half size but ok. Pork Fried rice coming with was good too. But my hot and sour soup was disappointing. I didnt taste any ginger, heat or sourness. I think a quart was 5.95. I would not order again.
Much same as other similar takeouts except around 2.00 more pricewise. I would go nextdoor to Carmines italian next time.

Had Take out dinner twice at this restaurant whilst in Stanhope New Jersey. Food was excellent and kids enjoyed their orange chicken.

We have been getting our Chinese food from Yangtze for years and think everyone should know about it. We have never been disappointed in our food, ever. Probably have had hundreds of meals. The food is fresh, hot, well spiced, generous, and reasonable. And the family is always friendly and helpful. If you love Chinese, you will not be disappointed. Best hot and sour soup anywhere.

Good Chinese food. Not too greasy and best part is now they deliver as well. Perfect for nights when you just don't want to cook.

I have been going there for years. It's a little better than most in the area. But it is still typical. it needs an update also.

I'm a lifer around these parts so I've been eating at Yangtze Kitchen since their inception many moons ago. Their food is above average for Chinese. The restaurant is always clean. It's not really geared for a sit down meal as there are only a couple of tables. It's more of a takeout place and the variety along with quality of their food is always good. If you are in or passing through Netcong, try this place. I doubt you'll be disappointed.
