This is a family owned business by folks that came from Calabria, Italy. As being first generation Italian-American with parents that immigrated from Calabria, I had high expectations of the food. I was not disappointed in the least. The salmon and the chicken francese dishes were amazing. Generous portions and delicious sauces. We had a side of meatballs for our daughter and they were huge and also delicious. They tasted exactly how my mother makes her meatballs and she is an excellent home cook according to my entire family. The wait staff were extremely friendly and the owner even had a small bouquet of flowers brought to all of the mothers in the restaurant - a very nice touch. For those of you that follow Dave Portnoy's One Bite Pizza reviews on social media, this place got a 7.7 from Dave on their pizza - a very good score. I will definitely be coming here again.

Every time family members visit our relatives in Northern New Jersey, Bazzarelli's is on our to do list. And our relatives don't wait for our visits to dine here, as this is number 1 on their list of dining choices.
Four lovely sisters took over the restaurant a few years ago after their owner, father's passing, and have kept it running flawlessly. Locals love this place so much that they all pitched in to rebuild it after major Hurricane Sandy damage.
I suggest Veal Parmigiana, but everything is delicious. The huge portions guarantee you dinner the following night using your leftovers.

We ordered simple pasta dishes and they were excellent.
Really good sauces, large tasty portions and an excellent salad with house dressing.
I get it - I understand why this place is so popular.
I’m very anxious to come back and try a few specials.
BTW, the house Merlot was really good. Let it sit a bit.

Last night I ordered a grilled shell steak for takeout and what I got was a shell steak that was cut in half and for the same price for the whole shell steak which it went up from $18 to $24. I should have taken it back but did not.
I understand that business has been bad since the pandemic but this is pitiful and bad for future business, been ordering for years but been so disappointed the last few months. Will not order again from this establishment.

Wow, what a disappointment. My daughter was home from college and she wanted Italian so we decided to try the restaurant that has been around a long time. Had very good fried calamari with a decent sauce for a starter. It went downhill from there. I ordered the bronzino oreganata that was the most overcooked and tasteless piece of fish I have ever eaten. I took three bites and couldn't eat anymore. My daughter had a pizza that again was tasteless which was surprising since the sauce that came with the appetizer was pretty good. My husband ordered lasagna Bolognese and while it was a huge portion, was just average. I told the waitress about the bronzino as it was obvious I wasn't eating it and she did offer me something else but at that point everybody else was done eating so I didn't take her up on the offer though we were charged for what was literally three bites. (At least my chickens will enjoy it, they have no taste buds). At the table next to us, every other word out of the male customer was the F word and there were 2 tables right in the vicinity with small kids. Though those tables had 2 men eating with their hats on! Just tells you the class of people you will encounter here. Oh, and the bread sucked. No excuse for that in this area! Never again.

Friends of mine from the fire department and I came here for dinner the other night and the food, and the service were wonderful. We had a Cheese Pizza which was perfectly cooked, and the flavor of the sauce was wonderful which I think makes the base of a pizza.
We also had mussels in a White Wine sauce that were so fresh and delicious and perfect with the loaf of bread they provided for us. The sauce was light and loaded with fresh garlic and white wine and made a nice base for the shellfish.
The service was wonderful and friendly.

someone we know recommended this restaurant. we had it delivered to our hotel and it was very good. Each entree was easily enough for 2 people to share.

I just recently moved back into the area and although i worked in the area over 20 years ago , i had never tried their food. Now that i just recently moved back here i tried their food on the recommendations of a good friend and i have to say i have never been disappointed. Food has been outstanding each and every time!!! The service is also outstanding! Friendly and i even took my husband there for this past Father's Day and we were treated wonderfully!!! Awesome pitcher of Sangria and like i said i cannot sayagain that everything we ate was fabulous!!! Thank u so much to all the staff amd family that really put their hearts into what they do!!!

Traveling on business, I stopped here for dinner. Not a huge place, but nice. I sat at the bar. The food was tremendous. The marina sauce was fantastic. I had Broccoli Rabe for an app, the chicken francese for dinner that came with a side of ziti. If you are around here, you should stop.

The bread was yummy.
The vino by the carafe was excellent.
The service was great.
The entrees were all a bit above average and the prices were right.
All in all a nice night out with the family .
I gave it 3.5 stars .

It's been many years since the last time I've been here, I can say the food is as good as it was all those years ago. Yesterday I attended a birthday party held here, it was a group of about 35 people. The food was delicious, fresh, and served hot. My wife and myself had the veal parmigiana. It was cooked perfectly, very tender. The salad, Bruschetta, and pasta was excellent. The room was noisy, but hey it was a party of 35. There wasn't one complaint from anyone who attended the party. I will definitely return!

Bazzarelli's has been in business for over 45 years making excellent quality, affordable and very tasty Italian food. The menu is vast, the service is good, the staff is friendly, and people like me have been going there for many years. Always good!

We were visiting friends in the area and this restaurant was recommended. The menu is not abundant but the quality is. Very good Italian food. The atmosphere is good but a little too bright for my taste. Overall a fine dining experience. The only negative was some fairly loud uncontrolled children.
