I've been here a few times and thought the food was very good, but after this last experience there are plenty of other Italian places within a few miles that will get my business. 5:00 pm: Called to place order 5:45 pm: Time they told...me to arrive 6:00 pm: Asked for an update, was told kitchen is behind 6:15 pm: Asked again, was told told kitchen is behind. (There is behind schedule and didn't make the food, 30 minutes late sound like they forgot my order) 6:20 pm: Gave me the food. No apology. No hint of money off or a any sort of good customer service And just to make matters worse, our order came with 3 salads and they gave us only 1 container of salad dressing. What a disaster.More

Received stale bread on two outgoing recent orders. A real deterrent for future orders. Tony puts his head in the sand with no correction in sight or to consider change. Should not happen at their elevated prices. Move on to better establishments that appreciate you...business, obliviously Bellissimo does not. There are numerous fine restaurants in the NJ/Bergen area that cater to the Seniors and have the BYO wine etc. The food is ok but the details to customers is lacking. Jack McCarthyMore

My wife and I have been starting to go out a little more now that the pandemic restrictions are starting to ease up a bit. We had been to this restaurant a few times before with friends, but have not been there in a long...time, so we decided to try it again. There is plenty of outdoor seating and there are a few tables inside available now also. The menu has a wide variety of dishes, and everyone should be able to find something they will enjoy. There are daily specials as well. My wife had Cappellini Bellissimo, which is capellini with shrimp and arugula sauteed in a light tomato sauce. My wife said there was plenty of shrimp in the dish, was flavorful and delicious. The portion was large and she couldn’t finish it. She took what was left home, and is enough for her to have dinner tomorrow. I had Pecan Chicken in a Honey Dijon Mustard Sauce. There are two good size cutlets and comes with potatoes and mixed vegetables. It is an excellent dish. The pecan coating was light (not oily or greasy) and there was just enough sauce to give it more flavor. It wasn’t “swimming” in sauce. I did ask for a little additional sauce though. The only compliant I would have about the dish is I wish there were a few more potatoes. Our waiter was Josh, and he was wonderful. He was friendly, pleasant and definitely made our dinner more enjoyable. My wife had some questions about a few dishes on the menu, and he answered them immediately (he didn’t have to check with someone or ask someone else to answer her questions). The way he answered my wife’s questions and how he spoke with her, made it easy for her to decide on what to order. Definitely worth trying and ask for Josh as your waiter. I think he is usually there on Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday.More

This is my uncle’s favorite place to bring our family for their perfect luncheon specials. Where can you go for SOUP & SALAD & your ENTREE for between $14-18? That’s why it’s packed with locals during the week! Everyone knows that this wonderful Italian restaurant...is a fantastic bargain.More

Food is good, service is good but owner could use a little etiquette education, on how to get rid of customers , more diplomatically, so they can make room for more, before we had completed our order. In my 60 years I have never been...rushed when I go out to eat, this has happened twice to me at this restaurant, and my husband with his friends several times. I do not want to go back here.More

This place had such great reviews and I was really holding out hope it would be good. Love that it's a BYOB, but maybe everyone is drinking too much wine to really taste the food. We ordered mussels as an app which was average at...best. I ordered a chicken entree which was less then average and my husband ordered veal which was definitely a better choice. Chicken was very thin and small portions (which honestly I did not mind considering the lack luster taste), but the huge turn off, was the frozen vegetables served with my meal!!! Really?!?! Frozen vegetables? That was the deal breaker for me and considering the average taste in food... Service was decent and prompt, but I would def not return.More

First I will focus on the positives. The food was outstanding. We had mushrooms stuffed with crabmeat and mussels in white sauce to start. The bread was warm and crusty and perfect for dipping in the mussel broth. My mouth is watering just thinking of...it! The service was exceptional. We were told about the specials, which were pan fried grouper and gnocchi with shrimp, sausage, chicken, mushrooms in an amazing creamy pesto sauce. We ended the meal with a round of espressos and coffee. It literally was one of the most amazing meals I've had at a restaurant recently. BUT - We were there on a Saturday for lunch. I guess they don't offer the lunch menu on the weekends (?) because we were provided the dinner menu. OK - that's OK. A little surprising since it doesn't say that anywhere on their website. We ordered the specials and neglected to ask the price (assuming they would be somewhat comparable, maybe a little more, than the pasta or seafood items on the menu. However, instead of paying the pasta dish prices which were $18 on average, the gnochi was $34 and the grouper was $36! Somewhat in shock when the bill came, we just paid and left. I guess it's our stupidity for not asking the special prices, but it also seemed somewhat exorbitant. Oh well - live an learn. And it really was an amazing meal. Bon appetit!More

Everything was so delicious. The warm Italian bread and olives to start were enough to keep us satisfied until our fried calamari arrived. It was crispy, tender, and so fresh, not greasy at all! We all had different meals and we all devoured it! The...beef short ribs with gnocchi, salmon, lobster ravioli, and my balsamic chicken was so full of flavor. Instead of having it with potatoes and a vegetable, I asked for it over pasta. And may I say the desserts were just as fantastic. Just a wonderful dinner with great food, and great service. You'll spend a few more dollars here, but I promise you, it is well worth it. It's a BYOB and there is a liquor store right next to the restaurant, how convenient!More

Great location, great food and ambiance. The owner who is in the picture was very nice and accommodating. Our girlfriends thought this is a great place to celebrate a birthday and we totally surprised our girlfriend and enjoyed a fantastic evening of food, wine &...fun. Would go to that restaurant again.More

We ordered Belissimo through DoorDash to the hotel because we were exhausted from travel and wanted something yummy. This did not disappoint! The Linguini Puttanesca, the Lobster Ravioli, the Pollo Verona, and the Rigatoni Bolognese were fabulous. The bread and salad included were a nice...addition too. Highly recommend!More
