I was looking for a spot in Montclair to meet up with a dear friend and had forgotten about Ah' Pizz. First, I love the fact that there is parking- a commodity in Montclair. Second, it's a good place for decent food at a reasonable...price. Our server was friendly and they followed all the Covid precautions. Decided to try a casual place and avoid the Valentine hassle. Could not of made a better choice. Staff excellent, no wait, service excellent. Appreciated a Saturday night we were not rushed. We wanted to get together with family for dinner but we're 2 hours away and Montclair was about the 1/2 point, but none of us knew anything about the area. We picked this place not knowing anything about it and we were all very pleased!!!...The food was great and the atmosphere was very cozy and casual. Was in New Jersey to visit my father in law, stopped In for a quick bite. Honestly didn’t expect anything more than good New Jersey Italian food, but the “santino” sandwich that I had ordered was phenomenal and probably something that I’ll come back for...over and over. They have a great variety of pizza, and dessert pizza - you can create your own with a vast variety of toppings. My favorite is the Mesa Luna which is a cross between pizza and calzone. You can take out or eat in - it...is heavenly.More
This past Saturday we Ah' Pizz accommodated our group of 30 for my daughter's engagement party. They did an amazing job. We were a loud, happy and busy group with plenty of our own wine and beer. We ordered the tricolor salad and fried calamari...for our apps as well as 3 different pizzas.All came out perfectly with SO MUCH FOOD! We actually forgot we had entree's coming as well which arrived hot and fresh, the chicken giambotta and orecchiette de gregorio (giant shrimp and brocoli rabe). They helped in plating the cake we supplied and served coffee and tea to those that wanted it. I have to add that this was a very busy Saturday night and the restaurant was packed. We did not have to seek out our server and everyone had an incredible time. Thanks to everyone at Ah' Pizz for making this a special night for our family!More
All the gourmet pizza you can think of is served here, not to mention delicious! The place can get a bit crowded so make sure to reserve your table. It is BYOB which makes it even more perfect!
We really loved the food at this restaurant. I had a white pizza that was great. My best buddy spouse had a salad that she said was great. Our delightful daughter had the stuffed artichoke which she said was great. They offer gulten free pasta...and pizza options. It is a little loud in the restaurant. BYOB, but local liquor stores are expensive so bring it from home.More
Modern but cozy atmosphere. Super menu- lots of variation and choices. Really impressed by the specials. This place satisfies the traditionalist and the foodie alike. The pizza was a thin crust style, and he ingredients were super fresh. The lunch menu has tons of combos...for really reasonable prices. The owner was great Took time to talk to us even though it was very busy and daughter talk about how great the pizza is always!! Think we are going have her birthday party there next time and the kids get to make there own...pizza and watch it be cooked!! Staff very friendly and accommodating!! Daughter loves 💕 to was them make the pizza and watch it being cooked in the wood stove!! Though Ah Pizz is primarily known for its top notch pizzas, we happen to love their many salad choices and entrees as well. The pizza dough and varied standard and unusual topping options are great. We shared a pesto with crumbled sausage, a classic margarita...pie and a special with puréed butternut squash. I love the eggplant Parmesan. The portion is large and super fresh. Pastas are also very good. Every month there’s a large list of specials by category and in fact a salad with watermelon and feta cheese is one of my summer favorites.
