About
Named with a nod to the past — the Pharmacie soda shop once flanked the original Bloomfield Avenue entrance to the historic Wellmont Theater — Pharmacie Bar + Kitchen serves up handcrafted classic and modern cocktails. With bars on two levels and decorated in a vintage vibe of exposed brick, black-and-white tile, marble and wrought iron, Pharmacie is a convivial gathering place for pre-show libations, a date night, or a private party for up to 100 guests. For now, Pharmacie is open coinciding with Wellmont show nights.

Visited for drinks and apps, my husband had a beer and I had a Cosmo. The chicken sandwich was good and hubbys' burger was tasty. Drink prices were average $13, however what struck me as odd was the small size glass. I will return but definitely only during happy hour

Thanks to COVID, the kitchen is closed and this is currently a cocktail bar. The bartenders are helpful, making this a perfect place for a drink.

Visited this bar/restaurant to meet with friends. The bar is modern and chic, wines good and well priced, with an interesting menu. The range of foods are interesting - the small plate starters were excellent, vegetarian Bolognese and octopus dishes were very tasty, and the desserts to die for. All topped of with really smooth nutty Port.

Went because of above average ratings. Got two drinks from specialty cocktail list, one was all ice and foam and finished in two sips, the other was watery carrot juice. Kitchen was closed, but looked around and saw a few dry burgers and fries. There are better bars on that block.

We stopped here late one evening after dinner for some drinks. We didn’t realize at the time that the bar upstairs has a connection leading to the Wellmont theater. Very smart. I will definitely remember this in the future when attending a show there. We didn’t eat here but the menu looks interesting. Although it was late in the evening, the bar area was packed. We were only able to secure 2 seats at the bar so one of us had to stand which was not really a big deal considering we weren’t staying for very long. However the crowd was a bit on the rude side, reaching over us to hand menu and request drinks and yelling loudly to be heard over the noise in there. I would probably go back for dinner and drinks or if just for drinks completely avoid the front part of the upstairs bar. The cocktail menu was pricey but interesting and I did enjoy watching the bartender make the drinks. I had a blue sage shoes, a cocktail made with gin, blueberry syrup, sage, orange and lemon. Another friend had a cocktail made with fig vodka, bourbon, lemon, blueberries and ginger ale. They were both really good! It’s nice to have something different rather than the standard drink menu being offered. Definitely worth the stop in.

Went here before the fab faux show at the wellmont and was thoroughly happy. Place was mobbed and the service did not miss a step. Snacks wee good , but the drinks were the highlight. High praise for the smokey tequila with agave marshmallow ...yum. Not a lot of kids, and did not wait too long...great time
