Hidden Jem in Millville. Great home cooked food will warm your tummy! Burgers are juicy and delicious. Great desserts also. Generous portions. Highly recommend.

My wife and I recently stopped by Jim's for lunch last week. We arrived around 11:30 and could see from the packed parking lot and guys coming out with bags full of sandwiches that this was Millville's go to place for a meal. It was really busy but we found a booth quickly and were greeted by a nice waitress promptly. My wife enjoyed a nice size mushroom cheese steak and I had the chicken croquettes. We had a side of homemade cole slaw and mac and cheese. Both were very good.
We enjoyed our first try with Jim's and would stop by again when passing thru Millville.

Finally made it to Jim’s Lunch after hearing all the talk over the years. We arrived at lunch hour and found a seat immediately..lovely friendly server came to our table almost immediately. My husband had the cheesesteak with their special sauce....huge portion and he said it was delicious. I had a grilled chicken salad....nice portion, fresh and tasty....we will definitely visit again...

The burgers of course loaded are to die for. The steak sandwich again loaded is superb. And the homemade soups are the bomb. Somehow never get past these to try much else, but hope to eventually try everything. Love this place.

Jim's is an institution in this area, closed part of the year, simple food but great! Their reuben was a bit special, slaw in place of kraut! Texas weiners are a specialty! Great rice and bread puddings.

Everyone talks about Jim’s lunch. Why??? That is one of the worse meals I have ever eaten. I don’t understand why people say you should eat there. I do not recommend this place at all the food is bad and the service is bad, and it’s just looks old and run down

This place is retro and in a good way. Very old school feel, decent food, and excellent service. The secret is in the sauce and that was true for both things I had there. Double cheeseburger with everything and Texas Tommy with everything. If in the area, I would definitely go back. Just be aware, they are only open between Columbus Day and Memorial Day so that the staff has the summer season off.

Went with the wife yesterday forth first time and had a nice experience. Place is clean, the staff and owner are very nice and personable, and the place had a generally good vibe. We got the double cheeseburger with everything, the texas weiner and a cheesesteak. it was delivered fast and very good. But the best was the double burgers. Fresh ground meat, tasty and a great roll. its different/intersting but really good. Will be going back. The french fries are good, not greasy and tasty.
I can see why this is a favorite among locals.
Its worth a try.
BTW-Rochelle the owner cooks your burgers and is a delight to talk to.

I've been coming to Millville occasionally for the past several months for business and I knew this place was the hot spot in town because I'm an Angels fan and know the history of Mike Trout in this town.
My co-worker and I finally decided to try it. During lunch hour on a Thursday, this place was packed and had a short wait for a table. I really liked the atmosphere of this small mom and pop shop that's been here forever. They serve breakfast but we caught them at the wrong hour. There's two main dining areas including counter seating. Lots of memorabilia related to Mike Trout.
My co-worker had the double cheeseburger with mushrooms with the special sauce and I had the same but without the special sauce. We had an order of fries for the table which was barely enough even though it was suggested to us it would be plenty.
Ladies and gents, I don't get it. I had no idea it was so bare bones and casual. To think I told my waitress I wanted the burger cooked medium-well was hysterical and I applaud her for not laughing at me. Our burgers were served on wax paper and arrived on hoagie rolls. The burgers were small and thin....White Castle thin. My co-worker and I both talked about where we wanted to go for lunch after. I actually enjoyed the fries. Not greasy. My co-worker didn't have nice words for the special sauce.
Prices were very cheap but now I know why. There was a parking lot on the side of the building. Service was very friendly. It was nice to experience but it's not for me.

We were here on a Saturday at 1pm hoping to miss the crowds. Wow, we got a seat right away but when we left there were 8 people on the sidewalk waiting to get in. The food was excellent and well priced. I'm told they are closed in the summer as the whole staff moves to a restaurant at the shore.

This place has been around for a long time and passed down through the family. it's only open part of the year. It's a local landmark and often crowded. That said it is not one of my favorite places to eat. Food is adequate for the most part and certainly not expensive. People rave over their burgers and sauce, but I find them too thin and am not crazy over the sauce. Also have had an omelette here that was way over cooked....Brown and hard like a football after I requested it not to be brown. Other food is ok.
