We tried the new Taco Shells by the Sea for take out. My wife had a chicken burrito. I had Giaco's Tacos, a steak, a pork and a white fish. All food was very good. Lots of home made ingredients to custom make what you...want. Awesome hot sauce bar to kick it up a notch. Few tables to enjoy your meal in or as we did, take out. Everything seemed clean and employees were helpful. We will be back. Good value.More

My husband loves tacos so we decided to try Taco Shells right before Cinco de Mayo. What a great decision! The food was freshly made while we were there and tasted really good! We had the Quesadilla special-one shrimp and one beef. They came with...guacamole, sour cream and a freshly-made salsa-all of my favorite accompaniments! The chips were wonderfully fresh and crisp AND we had our first Churro, which was just out of this world! I would recommend this restaurant highly. The only thing that prevented me from giving it a rating of 5 was the atmosphere. If it was decorated a little more cosily we would have eaten there-instead we took our food home. But-it is delicious no matter where you eat it!More

Best tacos and burritos in the entire shore area! They use all fresh ingredients and it really shows in their homemade salsa( I want to steal that recipe!) and various homemade sauces served on the side. You won't even need the sauces because the food...is really spectacular on it's own. Fresh and delicious. If you are in the area I highly recommend Taco Shells, not to mention the owners are super friendly folks and make everyone feel like family there!More

I have no idea how the myself and the others visited the same restaurant. I have been twice. Had the pleasure to burrito and then the pork bowl with mango salsa. Both were delicious and very filling. I think the prices are on par with...all the other restaurants in the area... this isn’t Taco Bell...you want a dollar taco your in the wrong restaurant. All the food is homemade every day, even the salsas. Plus they sell churros!!! My favorite. I think people are being awfully hard on a place that has been open 1 month...not to mention that it’s not run by kids as you can actually see the adults in the kitchen. Locals would be crazy not to give it a tryMore

-run by kids who I noticed after I paid for my overpriced burrito bowl were dipping chips into the queso fr a can and salsa from a jar. -if there were 5 pieces of processed chicken in my bowl I'd have felt fortunate. -we love...the chinese restaurant next door and figured we would give this place a try since the place next door was delicious....in hindsight we should've had chinese again. -More

OK....they are doing a great job with the tourists and camp grounds....the food is terrible...stay home, cook yourself. We ate take out twice just to be sure....stale ingredients, small portions and doesn't even taste that good...the food was full of fillers (lettuce) but you needed...a microscope to find the main course of meat or chicken....very pricey for what you get and the food isn't even good A group of us locals (8 to be exact) at the gym next door couldn't wait for them to open...now we can't wait for them to close. None of us will be back..the common theme "terrible" They might do better on the boardwalk where no one cares..or they should go back to SIC and re-open the pizza place they had....once the summer ends and the "shoobies" all leave, I'm guessing it'll look like "Death Valley" this winter. I don't see them surviving There is a nice place in Somers Point, El Tipico...MUUUCH better..or Tacos El Tio in EHT...there is even a new place on the OC boardwalk at 13th St that has better food and its boardwalk foodMore

Atmosphere is fine.....was pretty busy......Had a burrito.....stuffing was good with a whole wheat wrap. Choice of hot sauces on one wall was good. I have no problem with the Burrito. Amount of chips was lacking. At least double the size......I would be happy. No problem...with food or service or food so far.....but only went there once.More

I would have scored lower, but there were no choices for zero or negative #s. So, the 1 represents the fact that it is a really cute little place, and the menu "selections" and display were rather nice...but it ends there. I took my son...for a quick dinner before he went to work. You walk up to the counter to place your order, then sit down and wait. Service was fast but no courtesy or smiles or conversation!! This is a place that has been only been open less than 2 weeks!! I had to argue with the counter girl about onions, stating they were included, and she said no they are extra, and I said read the board above your head - but that didn't really matter. We "shared" Nacho Grande, then he had a Big Tat Beef Burrito Bowl (which he liked) & I had 3 Giaco's Tacos each with chicken, ground beer, and shredded pork (which looked great and I initiallyliked)......for almost $32!!! There was nothing grand except the price!!! Way too expensive for nachos with 18 chips and melted cheeze whiz, some lettuce, a Burrito Bowl served in a Dixie Cup Paper Bowl, and teeny tiny condiment containers!! When i asked for some extra cheese & sour cream they wanted to charge for it - get over yourselves - either you are a fast food joint or not!! I didn't even finish my tacos - something just tasted odd - it was the pico/tomatoe/onion - tasted acidic and spoiled!!! When we left no one asked about our opinions on anything - we were the only one;s there at 5pm on a Thursday. But the best part has yet to come! Within 30min we were both burping up a metallic taste! Obviously the pico/tomato had gone bad - I barely made it back to my house before an explosion occurred!!! Never going back!! Sorry....More

Got the spicy burrito with tilapia. Ingredients very sub par, flavor ok, stingy portions and thus overpriced based on portion size. Pretty disappointed, won't be going back :(
