Had dinner here in the summer with fiends as they wanted to experience some shore ambience and local seafood. This place is kitchy and was disappointed with the food and service. Long wait and typical tourist trap. Atmosphere was crowded tables and noisey. Not a great value for the portions. Better seafood and nicer ambience up the block a ways... More

There are plenty of places to go in this area, this is not the best as trip advisor would hint. Someone staking their name on crab should really have better crab cakes. They weren't bad at all. Just not great. It was an all around alright meal. The service was mediocre and when we left someone was throwing up in... More

One of the best kept secrets of the area and one of the best seafood places to eat in Ocean County. Quite crowded during the summer season but worth the wait. You'll never regret the wait or be disappointed in the food. They now have a liquor license but also still operate as a BYOB.

Freshest fish on or off the island and prepared wonderfully. Fortunately the management maintains the old byob policy even after acquiring a liquor license.

Best - freshest and cleanest, most perfectly professionally shucked, shellfish in the Long Beach Island area), to say nothing of the wonderful, beautifully prepared rest of the menu (or the consistently attentive, friendly, accomplished service). We live on LBI and frequently come "off Island" for lunch at Mud City. This restaurant (like its siblings - Ship Bottom Shellfish, Black Whale,... More

You should plan this visit on a very good evening, by doing so you could have you apps and before dinner drinks out front while waiting for seats in their dining area. I honestly believe that you will not find fresher or better seafood in this area. If you like Mussels, Mud City has the best! A must try! Along... More

Not to be missed while visiting LBI. It's located just before the causeway bridge crosses over to the island. Garlic clams are to die for... Oysters fresh and super chilled, clam chowder and crab chowder are both excellent. Love the oyster pooh boy.. It comes with fries. Everything is just great. Service is warm and friendly. Can't go wrong here.

We were headed to Atlantic City for a show and stopped for a late lunch. We had clam chowder and then garlic mussels. Next was crab cakes and fish and chips. Great job

A fun place to visit with family. Food is average. Seems like a fast food seafood joint. Young staff standing around not helping - they can't offer an opinion on food. Parking lot is a mess. Back of the restaurant is a mess
