About
Inspired by their father, Anthony Lanzerotti, a baker working in Brooklyn NY, Jerry Lanzerotti Sr. and his two brothers (Joesph and Anthony) opened the Lyndhurst Pastry Shop in 1948. Together with his wife Vee, Jerry Sr. shared his passion for baking and his family recipes from Catania, Sicily with the community of Lyndhurst. Their three sons, Anthony (Butch), Charles (Chuck), and Jerry Jr. grew up working beside their father learning the trade and carrying on his legacy. Today the store is still a family affair, with three generations of Lanzerottis working together. For the past 70 years, the Lanzerotti Family has owned and operated The Lyndhurst Pastry Shop, home of the finest Italian pastries and ices in the tri state area. Our Family recipes, crafted from the finest ingredients, have earned a reputation that speaks for itself, and we invite you to make them part of your family tradition. The family is honored to be celebrating 70 years in Lyndhurst.

One of my closest friends invited us over to her home for girls weekend. We arrived in New Jersey in time to visit The Pastry Shop.
I think other customers we getting annoyed as we took forever to order (laughing) Do they not understand the importance of pastries ! :-)
Everything is amazing!! If you are in Lyndhurst , visit this shop

My Family and Friends enjoy the Italian cookies and Sicilian Fig cookies made by Butch and his organization! I enjoy having them at Home and bringing trays to Family Homes! The Best of the Best!

This my Linzer Tart Cookie go to bakery. But their birthday cakes are neighborhood famous. You bring a photo and they will create or recreate anything. The buttercream frosting is the way to go. Delicious assorted breads as well.

I love Tiramisu. All kinds. I've had it served to me in Italy and here ranging from soup like in a bowl to cakes. Lyndhurst Pastry makes a great cake!

We ordered our first specialty cake for a birthday party this weekend and it was delicious! Fresh, nicely decorated, and fair price. We were very happy. We had 40 people at our party and I think everyone had a piece and finished what they took - it was that good! We also ordered a few trays of cookies and they were just amazing - fresh! Especially the pignoli cookies!! So good!

The place is kind of busy after the pastry shop had closed out.
They're good with Italian ice which became their specialty.
Otherwise their cakes and other sweets are below average.

This place has been there for decades...family run bakery where fresh bread and italian pastries (done old school) are still a thing of the present. Definately worth a trip. Check out their selection of italian ice as well on a hot summer day. Enjoy.

Excellent pastries, I highly recommend. Best in Jersey. They also have homemade Italian ices that are out of this world. We frequent after having dinner down the street at the Mariachi Grill.
