Already reviewed on Google but reviewing here because it’s that good. Food, service, ambiance all on point. The menu is a tight pre fix which changes regularly so also worth repeat visits. My husband had a starter called “cheesecake” which was a lighter version of...a quiche but we agreed it should have been called heaven! Definitely one of the best bites I’ve ever had. All I can say is Brian’s is worth it - worth the time, worth the drive, worth the money, worth the calories.More

We truly had a perfect dining experience at Brian’s. We had a reservation and was seated immediately upon our arrival. Melissa was our pleasant, knowledgeable server who was attentive but not overbearing. Since it’s BYOB they quickly brought over the ice bucket and were nice...enough to ask what bottles we wanted opened first and poured our glasses. (We’ve had dining experiences where we had to ask). This is prix fixe menu and was worth it. Starters were risotto with chunks of crabmeat, beet and asparagus salad with creamy goat cheese. Delicious! Monkfish excellently prepared with plenty of fresh vegetables and braised beef, tender and delicious. Dessert needs to be ordered at the time of placing your dinner order and by time dessert is served, you’re probably going to be filled! But berries and ice cream was worth the taste as was the NY cheesecake. Don’t miss this gem in Lambertville. We will definitely be back!More

y'all who think this is fine dining got no taste. First, I'll call out that the service was excellent. However, dinner itself is a different story. The risotto had a good texture, but was to lemon-y and had very little crab in it (as it...was crab risotto). Her beef wasn't a good cut of steak but more of a roast, and his duck had a good taste but was as dry as crawling across the southwest US. Dessert of Bananas Foster, despite telling us earlier was prepared tableside, was not prepared tableside, and instead came out as some banana French toast crap. Start to finish, dinner took about an hour. No concept of pacing or relaxation. They don't take credit cards (who the hell doesn't take credit cards???) so we paid by some convoluted Venmo process. I sound like a cantankerous old man, but check my history if there's a doubt of food experience. Move on and go somewhere else.More

The place is small.....a bit too tight for COVID. But the staff is amazing, the food perfection This place is THE hidden gem. I travel from NYC to relax and find the best casual place for fine dining. Its BYOB so decant some of the...good wine. Don't be afraid to tip well....they are a harding working, most pleasant crew!More

Always fabulous! A must do when in Lambertville. Impeccable service and delectable food!! The goat cheese ravioli appetizer was off the charts.

I chose Brian’s for a birthday dinner to celebrate my significant other’s 60th birthday, due to its #1 ranking on Trip Advisor. We were not disappointed! The restaurant is BYOB. They serve a 3 course, prix fixe for $55 on weekends, I think that the...menu may change frequently, so I may be reviewing dishes that will not be on the menu at all times. We chose the roasted monkfish and the filet and prawns for our main entree selections. The monkfish was delicious. The filet had a nice sear. Yummy, buttery mashed potatoes and sides of fresh vegetables. We had an appetizer with shrimp and crab cakes that was also delicious. For dessert, we chose the berries with vanilla ice cream and the bananas foster with brioche. I’m a bananas foster purist, so I think I would have liked it better without the bread. It would be great is they did some seasonal winter desserts - apples, cranberries, pumpkin etc. The service was excellent. They take cash or Venmo payments - no credit cards. Very enjoyable dinner and atmosphere at Brian’s!More

Brian’s is a phenomenal restaurant. Their sauces are as good, if not better, than any restaurant. Only the long gone Le Bec Fin in Philly had better. Tonight we had the seafood ravioli and the onion tort for our starter. The seafood sauce for the...ravioli was sublime. It held so much flavor, I’d love to know how they do it. Then for our main dishes we had the Rack of Lamb in a red wine reduction. The sauce went perfectly with the lamb. The other entree was the Halibut in a lemon butter caper sauce which was flawless. It contained tiny croutons sautéed in brown butter which made the sauce unbelievably delicious. Both dishes were perfectly prepared. For dessert we had the pineapple in a vanilla sauce with ice cream. The dish was a perfect ending to the meal. The other dessert was the Bananas Foster. This dish is so amazingly delicious that I order it every time I dine at Brian’s. The sauce is just wonderful. A taste of vanilla, bananas, butter with just a hint of....cinnamon maybe? I wanted to lick the plate it was so delicious. Can’t wait to return.More

First-rate French food in Lambertville! Loved everything we ate - succulent short ribs and perfectly balanced sweet/savory duck breast to the unforgettable white chocolate bread pudding to the reasonable prices ($55 for 3-course prix fixe menu), not to mention attentive, sensitive service, the meal exceeded...our expectations. Might’ve been the mid-winter timing of our visit, but the place was quiet enough to hear everything our dining partners said. Truly a delight. The ONLY hesitation I have in awarding 5 points - which I’m doing anyway - is that they didn’t take credit cards (a pet peeve of mine) and didn’t tell us till they brought the check. TripAdvisor reviewers had indicated they were now taking them, but that was only for the holidays, it turns out. Fortunately, we had enough cash (bringing our own wine - Brian’s is BYOB - helped.) So be forewarned, and enjoy a special meal.More

Brian's is one of our favorite restaurants, but we had not been there in about 6 months. It was good to see it still is one of the best restaurants in the area. Service was excellent as usual. I ordered the Duck with raspberry sauce,...truly outstanding, done perfectly. My sister had the halibut which she raved over. The three course fixed price menus is a perfect dining experience. I would recommend Brian's to anyone who loves good good, good service in a nice atmosphere.More
