We stayed at the hotel and got breakfast comped at Vu due to our room type being sold out. The food was really good and the service as well. Our waitress was very attentive and sweet. Bummer they no longer open for dinner. I would...definitely return.More
We had a couple of great breakfasts here during our stay at the Hyatt Regency Jersey City. Nikki and Gabriel were absolutely incredible, service was terrific! We visit this hotel several times a year and I must say that we were so very disappointed to...learn that this restaurant is no longer open for dinner. This is so sad and we truly hope that the management will revisit this decision as there are really no comparable restaurants in the near vicinity of this hotel for dining in the evening.More
I ate lunch here on Thursday, April 11th. It was a business lunch and though I work in the area, I've never been here for lunch before. The restaurant is in the Hyatt Regency near the Exchange Place PATH station and it does provide nice...views of the skyline and you can see the Statue of Liberty in the distance. The views were the only positives.
We sat down and looking back on the meal, here are my observations. The service was fair. Although our waitress was cheerful, she was relatively un-attentive when it came to things like checking drinks. There were four of us for lunch and 3 of the four needed to request refills since no one was coming around. This did not appear to be a particularly busy lunch time for them.
Two of our party started with the "Classic Minestrone Soup" which had the appearance of Campbell's soup, but from those who were served, was less tasty than the canned version. It simply didn't look appetizing and while one in our party finished the other simply couldn't muster the energy to get through the sub-par "?classic?".
For lunch, two of us had the Roast Turkey BLT, there was a Caesar Salad with Grilled Chicken and the final order was the Avocado Tartine Sandwich. The Turkey was dry, the bread seemed stale and lettuce was just plain ugly. The craziest sandwich was the Avocado Tartine - it was almost laughable. If you took half and avocado, sliced it and placed it on a piece of bread and did the same with the other half, you can picture this pathetic vegetarian offering. It wasn't my meal but it stood out like a sore thumb.
This is a waste of a nice view - c'mon Hyatt Regency, you can do better with little effort. First time, Last Time for me.More
Vu Restaurant located at 2 Exchange Place in Jersey City, New Jersey sits across the Hudson River with an incredible view of Manhattan. But once you finally look away from the skyline you can appreciate the lovely presentation of your food and its exquisite taste....Vu is located in the Hyatt Regency. It serves American fare and, while a bit pricey, the portions are excellent and no one complains about the price after this experience. The interior is tastefully appointed with floor to ceiling windows. Dining is smart casual and reservations are recommended.
The food is tasty and perfectly prepared to your liking. They are not afraid to add spices to their recipes like some timid establishments pandering to the masses. The meats are fall off the bone tender and the seafood is a delight.
Ease back with a tasty meal and watch the sun glint off the buildings as the ships sail by. Enjoy a time fit for couples, friends and families.More
u is located inside the Hyatt Regency Crown Center in Jersey City. It has some of the best views of the Manhattan skyline allowing you to see the WTC all the way down to the Empire State Building if you sat closer to the waterfront...windows. I sat to the right when you first come in and my view was of the ferris wheel and i could see the head and torch to the Statue of Liberty.
The food is overall good, but the grilled chicken sandwich I had was a bit on the dry side. IT needed more remoulade to add some mositure into the sandwich, but the fries were nice and crunchy. When they are slow you are likely to be taken care of by several servers who will continually fill your water glass or check on how your meal is.
They also provide food service to the rooms. As you can see in some of the pics I uploaded they come in eco-friendly boxes rather than the traditional ceramic plate and aluminum dome. Like any premium hotel you pay a premium price, but the wings were one of my favorite as they had plenty of meat on them and they were cooked well to have a nice crunch when biting into the skin of the wing.
Overall, I was impressed with most of what I ate, minus the dry chicken. Oh and the crab cakes I had were really good with lots of lump crab in it.More

You would need to contact the Jersey City Botel tor events. I only ate ate the Vu. The food was good, the view spectacular. If your children's are well behaved, this is a good place to eat and enjoy the atmosphere sphere and view of the NYC skyline. It is not far from the PATH station, and near several good hotels. As well as being in one. We stayed in a 2 BR apartment in a high rise nearby.
