Is one of my fav in that area. Super cool terrace with a great Manhattan view. Good wines, especially white from Cali. DRESS CODE REQUIRED.

Mistakes happen...we can all agree on that. What doesn't always happen is finding an establishment that turns a mistake into a wonderful evening. The Rooftop at Hyatt House restored my belief that good people still exist and that some companies still value the customer. The...manager Lesly not only fit my wife and I in without a proper reservation, they gave us a premium spot near the view of the NYC skyline and a free round of drinks. We also enjoyed small bites and good music surrounded by a great atmosphere. It was all initiated by the wonderful Brittany who listened to our plight and immediately thought of solutions instead of excuses. Our server Mandy was great also. Exemplary service all around. We will be coming back soon!More

The bar at the Rooftop has stunning skyline views of New York City . It’s in the 14th floor of the Hyatt House Hotel in Jersey City .Theres a Self Parking garage nearby. Affordable compared to New York City , we paid $25 for the...parking. I did get the reservation thru Resy with a city view. They will apply $50 per person plus tax and gratuity upon reservation without cancellation. It’s a lounging environment. It’s in the 14th floor. The bar server was courteous and accommodating. Outside of the lounge, there’s a big balcony with fireplace and several outdoor seating for you to hangout , take pictures of the skyline. I will definitely recommend this place during summer time. If not during daytime hours to evening. The bar music was fine , not too loud,They also have TV screens by the bar counter itself. I like the privacy of each bathrooms , I observed they have a good number of wait staff. The drinks are pricey but you’re paying for the view of course. But first we experience the fine dining restaurant in the Terrace, one floor down. Seated by the City View. Great atmosphere with piano music playing. The server Oreyana was very cordial and accommodating. I love the appetizer like crab roll and the mango panacotta for dessert. We ordered 4 different main entree, so far they were okay . We enjoyed our dinner and the excellent customer service. Thank you Ore 👌 . They observed social distancing for each table. Wearing mask is required until you are seated . Every restaurant staff is wearing mask at all times. We love the view. I will recommend this place for special occasion. Thank you for your prompt service.More

I couldn’t be anymore grateful! Ms. Lynn Woods helped me plan a beautiful rooftop proposal and was so kind throughout this process. The staff was super helpful, accommodating, and reliable and made sure that everything was perfect!! Ms. Woods also went out of her way...to help me coordinate everything weeks before the proposal! Still in disbelief of how smoothly this entire day went, and how breathtaking the view was!!! :) This was my fiancé’s first time in Jersey City and has already been talking about going back here. A truly amazing experience and extremely warm-hearted staff. 5/5 stars for you guys!!!!More

The first time we went our shoes were not "good enough". The guy behind us with 3 women got in with his sneakers. Then this week we got in . We bought $9 beers and 2 of us went outside while the other had to...use the bathroom. When he came out he didn't know where we were and started looking for us. Even though he only had 1 drink security supposedly came over to him and cut him off. That was fine because it's not like we need more of the $9 beer. Then apparently they just wanted him gone so they tried to kick him out until they realized he was with a group and we started making a fuss. The supposed waiter guy James said he didn't even know they were trying to kick him out and all he would do is apologize. In the end no one said what the problem was other than he was just a guy standing by himself looking for us. The quote I got is "something is very wrong with that guy" Very discriminatory. Obviously this effectively kicked us all out. We will never come back and buy more $15 shots with such discriminatory and racist /sexist practices. I thought the Ashfords was supposed to be the discriminatory bar of JC.More

So I made a reservation for a large group to propose to my girlfriend without ever seeing this place before since I came in from out of town. I was told by the lead hostess that everything I was wanting to do would be accommodated,...however when I finally arrived, a lot of things that were promised quickly became not possible anymore. I was told that at the time of my reservation a DJ would be there and could play the song I needed, but only after I flew in town I was told that there wouldn't even be a DJ in the building at that time (I mean how can you mess something like that up for an out of town guest?! I wasn't even able to plug in my phone or laptop to the speakers since a special cable was required that wasn't available anywhere locally.) Luckily I came in a couple days prior to the proposal so I was able to figure an alternative plan. Also after the event started, I found out that some of the bottles I ordered previously were not even available and it took them such a long time for them to even bring out champagne glasses or alternative bottles. So although the initial experience was so terrible, 2 of the managers - Ivan and Jorge - were huge in being flexible with certain things that helped me pull this off. Without their help the proposal could have been a huge disaster. I highly recommend speaking with a manger prior to planning out an event here to avoid any potential hiccups. I want to preface this review by saying that our waitress was wonderful. It's the chefs in the back that are questionable. I found this Pulsd deal a while back. $29 for two entrees and unlimited mimosas/Bellinis/bloody marys. The brunch menu from Pulsd was different...than the Pulsd menu at the restaurant (fewer options at the restaurant). I noticed that it only had okay reviews but decided to try it anyway, since it was close to home, and you get some views of Manhattan. The voucher indicated that we need to email them and reserve. I emailed, but no response. So we tried calling. No response. We decided to just take our chances and go in, since we were running out of time to use it. We got there at around 1:30 on a Sunday and it was surprisingly half full. They were able to seat us. It took a while for our waitress to come take our orders/give us water, but I think she might have been the only one working and serving all the tables that day. After that, we never had an issue getting her attention. She always made sure our glasses were full. The kitchen on the other hand, is a different story. We both ordered the burger because there was nothing better to order. I ordered medium rare and fiancé ordered rare, but both came out well done. They replaced the order and it came out well done again. We were about to just keep the dry burgers but the waitress said they might have gotten the ordered mixed up and asked if we wanted to try again. We hesitantly said yes and felt really bad afterwards for making her switch so many times. The third time it came out, the burger was medium. The thin truffle fries (the only good thing about the food) that came with the original burgers were now replaced with potato wedges. The burger was super salty, whereas the previous ones were not. Made us wonder if the meat wasn't fresh so 1. They had to cook it until it was bone dry 2. They needed to douse it in salt to cover up the taste. It was definitely pre-frozen too because the patty was a perfectly round disk. We ate half before we realized, so we didn't finish the rest. About two hours later, I did have a mild stomachache but not sure if it was from the burger. Aside from the burger fiasco, the bloody Mary was good. Probably one of the better ones I've had at a boozy brunch. Plus the views are nice. There's an outdoor seating area that I'm sure gets packed when it's warm. Bottom line - skip the Pulsd deal or if you do come, skip the burger.More

Sorry so late in responding. I would think not a place for children to spend time, possibly just for the view, however. Gorgeous view and something for children to see. But it's more of a cocktail place for adults.
