Service was horrible. The waiter basically ignored us. The steaks were not cooked correctly and we were not asked about it , like I would expect for the price of this meal. We each had a steak and hash browns which was the only choice...of potato. There was not other sides. My husband had one domestic beer in a bottle. Not even offered a glass. With the mandatory minimum gratuity of 18% the 2 meals were $120. It was at a temporary outside parking lot venue. The manager or someone who seemed in charge was busy entertaining a group of drunk people. My husband tried to get his attention to no avail. We have had better meals at chain steakhouses.More

Nice location and ambiance in an old townhouse building in Jersey City. The service was excellent. We had gone in the past and had a great meal. This last visit we were not impressed. We had angry soft shell crab appetizer. It came with a...generous topping of sautéed hot peppers that were delicious but the combination overpowered the crab. The steak was good and the quality was ok. We ordered a sautéed onion side dish that was different and very nice, the other vegetable sides were ok, nothing memorable.More

Second time diner. Sat on 2nd flood with linens on really lovely corner table. Like it much better for the food and the prices. Nice waiter but gave us sautéd spinach instead of creamed spinach. Correctly it quickly. Service was good. Food delicious. Clams were...too large for the linguini. Kids prefer smaller.More

Very crowded. The noise level in the back room was insane. You could not hear yourself speak. Service was ok. Our waiter got part of the order wrong. Waited a long time for the food. The porterhouse steak was a bit chewy and tough. The...linguini had huge clams, not the usual smaller ones. Wedge salad ok. Bacon app was différent. Will try again when less crowded and sit at the bar.More

Outstanding steak and service. Waiters were attentive and the appetizers were in itself filling. Planning to back before the year is out.

Since we live in Jersey City for the summer we wanted to make our last dinner special so our choice was Edward’s Steakhouse, before heading home to South Florida!!! Glad we did because this place is in an old modern renovated brownstone with two floors...of dining. A nice bar and attractive decor all around. With A reservation at 7:45 and we did show up a little after 7:00 PM and they accommodate us with no issues. There were plenty of tables on this Sunday night. We followed the hostess to the upstairs dining room and it was a lovely room, spacious, white covered tables, fine large cutlery, and nice wine and water glasses. Coming up to serve us was Mario who was on his game, attentive and always there to check and to pour our white wine. So a bottle of 2016 Jordan Chardonnay started our night followed a Cesar salad for my love and I ordered a iceberg lettuce wedge with bacon and blue cheese. Both salads were nice and cold, crispy fresh lettuce and Romain and perfect pairing with our wine. For the main course, a filet Mignon for my sweetheart and a sirloin steak for me. Both steaks were grilled to a perfect medium rare, great taste, flavorful, tender, a nice size portion. With the two sides of mushrooms and string beans it was a perfect match and a complete dinner. So full and no room for dessert, so we opted for the check and had a nice conversation with Mario. Overall, Nice steakhouse, quiet atmosphere, soft light tunes playing overhead, great acoustics. We go to plenty of fine steakhouse all over the city and the country, and this place really sets the tone for a nice romantic dinner for two!!! We highly recommend this fine steak house!!! We will be back!!! Enjoy!!! 🥩🥩🥩🍽🍽🍽More

We turned up on a Friday night without a booking, and they found us space. the waiters are very attentive, and look after you, the menu options are typical for a steakhouse, I had the french onion soup to start which was lovely with a...small amount of sweetness, i chose the Steak au poivre, which was well cooked and tasted lovely. Good selection of wines. and great to see some half bottles as well. Did not have desert as too full. I think both of us left food on our plates due to being full.More

Been here numerous times, but first time leaving a review. Consistently phenomenal food and drinks. The steaks are always fantastic, the rib steak, filter, and porterhouse are amazing. And so is every appetizer and side we've tried on all of our visits. The clams, oysters,...calamari, soups, and especially the bacon. Great drinks. Nice ambience. Fantastic service. Can't say enough good things about this place. One of the best top end restaurants in Jersey City and unbelievably delicious steak.More

This is an old school steakhouse that predates the gentrification of downtown Jersey City. They offer a great menu of traditional steakhouse favorites and a cozy bar.
