We made reservations on a weeknight- probably the optimal time to go (weeknight, not a concert night at White Eagle upstairs). We saw many cute drinks being served in grinch and skull glasses. We ordered a few small plates and they came out quickly, efficiently...and were tasty. Decor was fun, ambience was nice. Don't bring bulky stuff with you because there's not much passage between tables and you don't want to trip the wait staff!! Nice experience, would def go back with husband or take visiting friends.More

This is one of my mainstays whenever I’m in the mood for wings! They have a unique spin on all the comfort foods they do and they edamame are to die for! They grill them and drizzle with the most delicious sauce.

We visited Cellar 335 on a busy Saturday evening. The restaurant has a great atmosphere. Drinks took super long to get to the table, Arrived after the food, but that was okay since it was so busy. What was not okay is that the drinks...are loaded with ice and decorations and hardly any alcohol. The drinks look pretty, but a lot of money for what you really get. The food was good, but certainly not anything great. Portions are relatively small for the price you pay. Maybe I'll give it another try on a week night... or maybe not.More

In a cellar, this hoop young people's restaurant has many excellent foods to eat and a Hawaiian theme everywhere. Tiki mugs for drinks, etc. Food great, but LOUD ! Jamie Knott chef has done it again!

Loved this basement-level bar that specializes in quirky cocktails. The staff is very welcoming. Great atmosphere. We took a chance at a few concoctions that we have never tried before, and loved them all.

We really love this place. Lots of small plates to chose from (better than the larger main-course type dishes). Food is tasty. Staff is warm and inviting. Room is fun. And, of course, the star attraction... the drinks. Love bringing out-of-town guests here.

The menu is a shared plate menu. All we ordered was great. The drinks were strong and flavorful. I had something with guava. So good. We had Sea Bass, Spicy Beef Noodles, Guac-Hunmus Prime and Korean chicken wings in Ginger Buffalo sauce. Coming back soon....So good.More

Servers and bartenders are really friendly and helpful. Small plate style food is delicious. Drinks, although great looking, are overpriced, weak and 90% ice. Stick to beer or wine if you don't want to feel ripped off.

We had been here before but the menu has since changed. Everything we had was great the Bao, fried rice, edamame, chicken wonton, skirt steak and more. All tapas style that you will want to keep ordering. The specialty drinks are also awesome but they...go down rather easily. Before you know it, your head goes fuzzy! Which leads to the only shortcoming, just like the drinks, the size of the bill sneaks up on you!! Even with that, we will definitely go back!More

Here is yet another restaurant trying to sell you eclectic, mixed-cuisine tapas-style plates for good money. Cellar does it well by serving food that is tasty by servers who look interested in serving. The decor is a bit dark and a bit too loud.

Cellar 335 was the perfect place for our girls night dinner since we wanted to try someplace different. Cellar fit all criteria. It's situated slightly below street level and hence the name. Although it has an unassuming exterior, the interior is full of interesting walls,...furniture, a long bar and a well-executed layout. The dim lighting definitely adds to the vibe and ambiance. We tasted quite a bit from the menu and enjoyed all the selections. There is a very limited wine list/ -focus is on their drinks. Sampled Spicy cornbread Crab cake Hamachi tartare Beef noodles Orange Beef Korean ribs Dessert Creme brûlée Bao donut We had a wonderful experience- like being in NYC.More

We were expecting Gastro Pub Bar Food in this Wine / Mixed Drink focused establishment. We shared Corn Bread, Brussel Sprouts, Branzino, Fried Rice, Orange Beef, etc. and every dish brought unique tastes and Ooohs & Aaaahs from all 4 of us. You can skip...the drinks and just go for the food!More

Very interesting place. Good food prepared in semi-family style.Orders come out when the food is ready and not in any particular order. Everything we had was tasty and unusual. My Crispy Ribs were a highlight but the Charred Edamame were a close second. Drinks are...all classic Tiki style with a twist.More

Wow... what to say. Its definitely a hot spot for the 25-35 year old group.... loud, very dark, Polynesian theme restaurant with a lot of rum drinks in funky tiki glasses... sounds like a fad spot that will die out once the novelty is over,...but I'm sot so sure. The food, for what it is, is actually pretty good, and way better and fresher that the other "big name" Asian place downtown Jersey City. Most was tapas style and meant for sharing. I have food allergies so I was limited in what I could eat, but whatever I had was good.... the spicy cornbread, charred edamame, bao down, and skirt steak. The rest of our table tried a variety of items and all were liked as being extremely fresh and flavorful.... crab cakes, chicken wontons, drunken chicken noodle, and branzino. We did not find anything overly sweet as some other reviewers have mentioned... to the contrary, most of what our crew had was on the spicy side. So for a totally different experience, one that you might only go to once, its worth a try.More

My sister found this restaurant on yelp. It got awesome reviews. We were in the area for a sailing tour out of jersey city. We were unfamiliar with the area. We were a group of 8 and we made a reservation here. We all LOVED...it here! We practically tried every dish, seriously almost everything and not one complaint. We all liked the dishes. They were unique the way they were prepared and delicious! The drinks were delicious and fun! The waiter described each drink and gave a great description of them. Very festive presentation. Great ambiance. Wall murals were incredible. Service was excellent. We were so pleased with this restaurant, only wish we lived closer.More
