We dined at the Brick Farm Tavern on Mother's Day, when the staff was pushed to the limit by a huge but socially distanced crowd. The hummus and empanadas were fine choices while the homemade soft pretzel bits were merely okay. We were both pleased...with the mushroom ravioli entree. The pasta was light and properly cooked, and the mushroom sauce was extremely good. The "strawberry shortcake" dessert was fine but was more of a raspberry shortcake. The rhubarb bread pudding was excellent. Prices are relatively low given the quality of the food. The wine and beer selection is quite good. We sat outdoors under a tent and wouldn't do that again on a chilly day. The space heaters weren't getting the job done. Next time, indoors. All in all, a pleasant experience in an extremely casual setting.More

Went for early evening cocktails and small plates. The setting was wonderful. Tent was spacious, seating well spaced, and scenery lovely. The drinks were great. Small plates were meh. I feel like they try way too hard to come up with overly pretentious dishes, which...would be fine but the results are not phenomenal. Service was a little too attentive and did not quite take the hint that we were interesting in enjoying a leisurely evening after a year of quarantine. There was no obvious need for the table, so it was a little annoying.More

Absolutely an awesome meal at this restaurant. Not to mention a great drink menu as well. Pierogi poutine was phenomenal, as well as the fluke.

We gathered a group of close family this past Saturday to help celebrate my daughter's 30th birthday. Her birthday is late in Oct but we chose to take advantage of outdoor dining and the early autumn weather. We were a party of 12! The grounds...were scenic and comfy, the lunch menu was interesting, the cocktails and choice of beers were exciting and Chris who tended to our party could not have been any more attentive. Thank you Brick Farm Tavern and thank you Chris for making our visit and my daughter's special birthday so memorable!More

Reservations for my beer loving friend's birthday meal were made approximately 2 weeks in advance. When I called to reconfirm the day before, I was told they had been canceled!!! Huh? Since a knowledgeable beer loving enthusiast I know highly recommended this place and this...was a special day . I was not to be put off. Fortunately, I was not. We arrived punctually and were led to our socially distanced, outdoor table under a pergola that allowed us a panoramic view of the beautiful country side. and added to the overall ambiance. We immediately ordered some of that highly recommended Troon beer with very happy results, My friend loved his IPA - esque selection . My sweet, smooth and rather potent stout may have been the MOST DELICIOUS stout I have ever tasted .I wanted to take a few bottles home but apparently the limited edition beer is only made in small batches. Once it is gone, entirely different flavors are brewed up in small batches. The beer has to be enjoyed on site. We shared tasty, crisp potato pancakes for starters. My friend loved his swordfish taco entrée. I enjoyed my mussels but did not find them to be particularly special .The lady like portion satisfied me but might not be enough for larger appetites. I managed to gobble up all of my generic but good carrot cake. My friend was touched when his ice cream arrived with a small birthday candle. Our waiter was the best - knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. I enjoyed his trivia about the farm. The gorgeous historic brick house does have a ghost. The kitchen is located on the site on a former indoor swimming pool .I did not want to take up too much of his time but I'm sure he had more stories to share. All in all, it was a pleasant afternoon.More

We deeply enjoyed our first visit to Brick Farm Tavern in November. They were a little backed up when we arrived, so we needed to wait for our table to clear, but the food was worth the wait. It was delightfully fresh and true to...its mission of farm-to-table, with origins of each dish well identified. They have a strong wine list that pairs well with what is offered. I also appreciated a cocktail list that avoided the saccharin, but cleared the palate. We haven't been back, more than anything because we've avoided eating out in the time of COVID-19, but otherwise this would be a restaurant to return to again and again and again.More

Our appetizers were not good. The watermelon/beet gazpacho was just liquid - beet juice basically, nothing else. The bread sticks that came with the hummus were stale. The bean salsa was just whole cannelli beans - not much else, and not scoopable with the chips,...could only be eaten with a spoon. The burgers are consistently good, must be all they really sell. The swordfish was very good. We don't usually complain and usually we are very impressed with our meals here. Maybe its the whole outside dining thing, dragging down the quality, but it really seems there's been a change in the kitchen.More
