We were there for drinks & hors d'oeuvres. We ordered corn cakes as an appetizer, e.g., which was supposed to come with a dollop of caviar. The portion of caviar was so minuscule that it was a joke. We also ordered soup. Given the price of the soup, it should have been served in a BOWL, not in a medium-size... More

Have tried Cucharama twice based on other excellent reviews and write ups. Both times the food was just simply not good. I figured maybe I hit it on an off night, but second time was bad also

On the positive side, the food was very tasty. We tried about six tapas-sized plates and all were quite good. On the downside, numerous items on the regular menu were not available. And the waitress should have warned us that soda refills were not free. At $4 a pop for a modest sized glass, these were no bargain.

Loved the service, ambience was reminiscent of one of our favorite establishments, Casa Maya. You should try menu items outside the box!! Enjoy!!!

We came with Friends over the holiday weekend. Ate a little early so the place was nice and quiet. The choices of Latin American cuisine were outstanding. We shared empanadas and ceviche, both excellent. The dishes with Chimichuri were top notch, while the duck was just average. Start with the Mojito and the rest will flow well. It is a... More

Not sure how I didn't know about this place before, but heard about it about a year ago and have been there four times since. The food is amazing, everything is good (although the tamales are a standout.) And the atmosphere is wonderful. Easily the best food in Hoboken.

I made reservations for 4 to celebrate Father's Day and was looking forward to trying the place out. But when we got there we were told the oven was under maintenance and a variety of their better dishes were unavailable or could only be served fried. The website didn't have any info about this and I was never informed over... More

If you like strongly flavored food and something different, this place is for you. However, choose carefully if you don't like it too hot & spicy.

Nice place on the center of Hoboken with one of the rare outside dining possibilties. Great tapas style starter menu. We had the bacalao, chorizzos and cervice and everything was very fresh and tasty. As a main course we had food from the wood oven like salmon and chicken with mashed potatoes, rice and egg plant mouse. Everything cooked well.... More

The four times I have been there, I have been underwhelmed. The food is "ok: but there are far better places to eat in Hoboken.
