I know this is sacrilege, but I actually liked the uptown version of La Isla better. I should be a purist, but the ambiance just rocks up there. Love the fried potato anything there. Really can't go wrong with anything on the menu.

I stopped by this place assuming we could get authentic Spanish food, I was so wrong. The food was inedible, even the coffee was terrible. I don't usually give restaurants a poor review. In fact I don't think I ever have, but this place truly disappointed me. It offends me when a restaurant claims to represent my own cultural food... More

Phenomenal Cubans, plantains with homemade black bean dip and mashed fried plantains. Friendliest service anywhere. Also their Cuban coffee is the genuine article. And cheap. Worth the side trip on our drive down through NJ!

Tied for my favorite restaurant in town. It's easy to miss, and often has a wait (be sure to write your name on the little note pad by the bar seats), but worth it. You must have an empanada, madras, moro, and the camarones al ajillo (be sure to order cuban toast to soak up the sauce). The guava stuffed... More

The restaurant is authentic a Cuban experience and the food is wonderful. Get the stuffed french toast and the bread and your all set. Bring a bottle of wine on bunch dates or hungover mornings and your leaving happy!!

You can easily walk right past this place and its not a place to be missed. When you walk through the door you are in Havana. This restaurant embodies all the essence of Cuba. There is a lady that work behind the counter that is super sweet and good natured. The food is authentic to its core. Cafe cubano, churrasco... More

I give this place 5 stars because the food was very, very tasty! Oh, the bread......to die for! And the empanadas...and the fish I had was cooked perfectly...and the plantanos...yum....just all around very tasty. The service was very friendly but I think our waitress was very new.... However, I have to note that after the meal I felt slightly nauseous... More

We visited for several breakfasts when staying in Hoboken. Beautiful food and coffee every time. Staff were always friendly and chatty. Loved the stuffed French toast and the Black beans with rice. Full of locals which is always a good sign! We arrived about 8,30 each morning and never had a problem getting a table. Would definitely be back if... More

This is a happening resturant in up town hoboken. Always a great atmosphere. I have been twice and loved my meal both times.
