I arrived early for my meeting in Hoboken and I wanted to get a coffee and a muffin/bagel and kill 30 minutes. Since I'm not a fan of the major chain coffee shops, I decided to stop here since I parked close by. It's a...very large trendy, upscale, bakery with many Greek options. The staff was very friendly and the ambiance was inviting. I ordered a medium hot coffee and a cinnamon roll. As a coffee snob, I thought the coffee was dirty water. I couldn't drink it and I didn't. The cinnamon roll was warm and tasty. I ended up a major coffee chain after all. Other than the wet wash cloth on the floor near my table, the place was spotless. The bathroom was spotless. For a morning rush hour, it wasn't getting the foot traffic that the other places might be getting so I'm a bit concerned. It's a large space and rent can't be cheap. I'll be back to try one of those great looking Greek desserts but I'll skip the coffee. The overall experience was better than my coffee.More

Went there for breakfast. Waiter somewhat confused by my co-eaters order and some mix ups but can recommend the egg and avocado thing. Greek salad looked good.

There was a piece of a rubber glove in my sandwhich. I am absolutely disgusted and horrified. I’m not sure that this place adheres to the health standards set forth by the law, and this glove puts me at serious risk for an allergic reaction...to latex. I’m currently consulting a doctor about this, as well as my lawyer.More

What a lovely place and the food is amazing. A strong recommendation if you need a coffee or something more.

When you enter this place you are literally walking into the country of Greece. Everything is 110% authentic and they even serve the incredible Frappe that I have only ever seen in Athens. The Spanakopita tastes like my grandmothers so I don't need to say...much else as for why I choose to come here after having lived in Greece for 8 years. Great people preparing your food with care and pride. Excellent spot.More

I enjoy the spinach and cheese pastries - especially in the morning. They taste basically the same as you can find in various Greek pastry places in Thessaloniki and Athens - I visit Greece a couple of times a year as I have family and...friends over there. The place is modern with many seats, high ceilings, and has a pleasant atmosphere. I come here and spend about one hour working on my laptop. I see small groups sometimes having business meetings. Their small coffee is very large - I always drink it in a mug (request one). they also offer Greek coffee but I stay with the regular most of the time. They also have a variety of greek sweets (baklava galaktoboureko etc.) - but I prefer the salty stuff staying away from sugar - but occasionally with some company we order them and they taste authentic as well.More

Yes, the food is Astoria quality. But it's presented as though the place is a self-serve deli/salad/dessert bar. What you hear as you walk in is "Wait a minute, I'll be right over," yelled at a diner who started to help himself at one of...the displays. You soon find out that you have to find one of the the roving server/cashiers, that you point at what you want, and she puts the food on a tray for you. Then she points you to a rover at the cash register, where you pay. A clumsy system that could use signs over the food trays asking folks NOT to serve themselves. The food and desserts are great -- the system isn't.More

We were in Hoboken for a business meeting and decided to stop by GFG for a coffee and breakfast. Huge selection of drinks, desserts and entrees. Highly recommend if you are looking for something fast.

GFG bakery is definitely something different for Hoboken and carries a lot of authentic Greek food. You can find greek cheese pie (tyropita), spinach pie (spanakopita), baklava, kataifi, frappe coffee and many others. It is very modern inside and has a lot of seating space....Convenient for families. Great for coffee, for a quick meal or snack. The stuff was very polite and helpful. Decent prices. The code for the wifi is freepass. I have tried the traditional Olympus cheese pie ($6.95) with 3 cheeses (feta, mizithra and anthotyro) and the Baclava ($5,50). All tasted awesomeness. I have also taken Freddo Cappuccino($4,10/16oz). Worth a visit for sure! I would definitely come back to taste the spinach pie and some of the dessert.More

I stayed at W Hotel for 3 days, and came here everyday without fail. Beautiful display of classic Greek and not so Greek baked goods, fun and fresh Greek yogurt bar for 'how you like it' yogurt parfait, wonderful coffees. Airy bright honey-scented space, very...clean, and smiling, pleasant, and genuinely helpful staff. This is what all bakery/ cafes should aspire to!More
