This is one of the few rare places in Hoboken that has a great atmosphere and great food. This French inspired restaurant has many options to choose from that will appeal to many appetites. It does get busy during weekends and weeknights. Families are welcome and larger groups can be accommodated. I like to come here with friends and order... More

This is our go-to place after one of the kids' events or when we have family in town. Good French bistro-type food, a very relaxed atmosphere, very competent bartenders. Like being in Paris, except the staff is friendly :). Also, the nicest outdoor patio for dining in Hoboken.

Elysian café is a great place to drop in for lunch or a drink with friends or family. With a relaxed atmosphere it has a beautiful interior with seats at the long bar, a pleasant interior dining room, and outside tables for hot summer days and evenings. The food is reasonably priced if nothing special but the main attraction of... More

Was in Hoboken for the day with a friend and happened upon a lady and her son as we were all admiring the view of NYC from our vantage point at Stevens Institute......I asked about a lunch recommendation and she said "Elysian Cafe".....so we went, sat outside, and had a grilled cheese sandwich with leeks and grilled half chicken sandwich... Six of us dined. The other two couples seemed happy with their meals. They may have been just being nice. My BBQ ribs were reheated too much and very dry. My wife's lobster roll was just the tips of the lobster claw swimming in mayonnaise. 26 dollars for a lobster roll that was awful. If we were by ourselves, I... More

Came to Elysian for Brunch and it was just excellent. The steak and eggs with french fries completely hit the spot and was cooked to perfection. Love the vibes and everything about this place.

Had a really lovely lunch date here on Friday, great find! Drinks were good and staff very friendly. Reminded me of Harry's Bar in Venice! Definitely go back again.

I love the European style of streets and restaurants in Hoboken, in particular at this cafe. I sat outside under a tree (I recommend it on a nice day) and ordered the smoked salmon sandwich. I suggest making a few adjustments, like getting it on the rosemary focaccia and substituting the arugula salad for your side. The food and service... More

Another Hoboken visit and returned to Elysian for dinner and brunch. Not fancy but very good quality and service. A neighborhood gem

Owned by the proprietors of Amanda's, down the street, the expectations in the dining experience were matched in a somewhat less formal setting here. The winning entree among our group of six was the BBQ ribs, hands down. But as the dinner hour advanced, the noise level in the dining room became so loud that our group could not hear... More
