Best pizza and Italian for contactless delivery

As you can see I have visited here many times in the past for my most favorite local pizza’s and other Italian meals. During this COVID-19 pandemic, we ordered both the Alessandro’s Special pie with mixed meats/veggies for $21.95 and their Original Grandma thin-crust pie with basil and Oregano for $16.95 over the phone using my credit card for contactless home delivery. The delivery person wore a mask and gloves. The pizza’s were delivered hot. We had some left over pizza, which we froze and enjoyed a week later. My other favorites here are their Allesandro’s salad, mussels, lasagna, Italian sandwiches and others. I will continue to return here for pizza and other meals.

Perfect Pizza, Fabulous Food!

Headed here on a recommendation two years ago, and we were so glad we did! Ordered a pizza that was a combo of things we had never seen, had, or thought of before. Tuscan pizza; your standard white pizza (mozzarella & ricotta) and then the level is elevated by having broccoli rabe sautéed in garlic and oil, mushrooms and sundried tomatoes added on top. Pure bliss! Added a delicious arugula salad, brought our bottle of wine and we were in pizza heaven! I’m not a crust eater, but here it’s light, puffy and insanely crisp. I ate it!! Have been back since our first time and have had one dish after another that has NEVER disappointed. First time we were here the owner knew it was our “maiden voyage” here. He came over to our table, introduced himself and actually thanked us for coming and told us how he appreciated our business! Way to go, Alessandro!! Smart man! For what you get in both quality and quantity the prices are beyond reasonable! In a word: GO!!!

Great food

The food was delicious! We went on a Saturday night and it was too noisy but I would still go back. We ordered a lot - 2 pizzas, eggplant parmesan and some salad. It was all so tasty.

Guy is THE GUY! We stumbled upon this place and it was so delicious! Literally everything we ordered was exceptional. Guy was a great server with lots of personality and humor. Highly recommend!

Really good Italian food

We are fortunate to have a local restaurant that serves delicious Italian food. I had such a good dinner that I went back the next day to take out pizza and chicken paninis. I will do that again.

Food is outrageous!!

Just got back from eating here, and wow .. the food was phenomenal!! The portion sizes are ginormous! The owner of the restaurant is so passionate about the food and he makes you even more excited to eat it! The owners style of making customers feel welcomed is really something that I realized more restaurants should do, and that made me feel very comfortable eating there and the food is excellent!! So glad we tried a new place!!

Thankful for Alessandro's restaurant!

Not only do we love their food. In fact, they have the best Italian food in the area (the pizza especially the Grandma or Grandpa style and the Alessandro salad are staples in our house, as our some of the pasta dishes). What is even more special, Alessandro takes such pride in feeding our kids school lunch. We are such a small town that we have an opt in lunch program, but we can order food for our children from here and when we are in a jam, he ALWAYS saves the day. I am truly grateful he is a part of our special community!

There are many good Pizzerias/Restaurants in the area and now you can add this one to the list. We came here on a recommendation and were not disappointed. The thought was just to have a pizza and salad as we saw a very interesting pizza on the menu. It was the Tuscan Pizza which is a white pie with mushrooms, sun dried tomatoes, and broccoli rabe. And this pie did not disappoint. It was thin crusted style that was a drop oily, but the taste was superb. We also ordered the arugula salad which I thought was a drop too small but the taste was delicious. It had arugula, red onions, olives with pits, mushrooms, cucumber, and two thin slices of tomato. As I said we were not disappointed. And we will be back as they have a very interesting menu and some nice specials including an interesting combination of escargot and shrimp.

Best Pizza around Haworth

I love, love, love their pizza. So fresh and so delicious. Excellent choices and the Penna Alla Vodka is super delicious, too. Prices are reasonable and their pizza has always hit the spot. I highly recommend if you're looking to grab a slice in and around Haworth.

Alessandro's is a great little Italian restaurant in downtown Haworth. The pizza is delicious but I usually order pasta or chicken. I try something different every time because I don't want to miss out on something amazing. Friendly staff & large portions too.

Excellent Italian!

Visited 07/04/18 with friends. A bunch of us came here on the suggestion that this place has the best pizza outside of Brooklyn. Well, I've never had pizza in Brooklyn, but this pizza was indeed, quite excellent. Actually everything that we had (appetizers, salad, etc.) was very very good. The fried calamari, the eggplant rollentini and the grilled shrimp and calamari were all terrific... as was the house salad with an excellent blue cheese dressing. But the pizza... just terrific. The Grandma pie was nice and thin, with fresh tomato sauce and mozzarella. As good a pie as I've every had. Next time I might ask for the crust to be a bit... crustier, but that's really not a complaint. I really did love the pie. I'm not a big 'crust' guy, but this crust was not to hard and not too soft... kinda like a buttery croissant if you ask me. Truly the best tasting crust I've ever had. We (8 of us) also shared a "Nonno" pie or as our waiter called it, a Grandpa pie. This pie was Sicilian style... still thin crust but not as thin as Grandma's pie... and we added sausage to it. Grandpa too was very good, but we all agreed that 'Grandma' won the challenge. (even though there wasn't one) We definitely will be back. It's also a BYOB, which on any level is always a good thing. If I have one criticism about this place... I might suggest that the owner hang some pictures (of Italy maybe?) or maybe have a mural painted on the walls. Brighten the place up a bit. But the food!? No complaint there!

Perfect Pizza, Salads and Pasta

This is a favorite restaurant for the pizza (especially Nonna's Pie and the Rustica Pizza) and a salad. Dinner entrees are uniformly excellent and the many pasta choices are perfectly prepared. Service never disappoints. A great value too.
