After a long day of work I couldn’t bear the thought of going out and eating in public I saw that this restaurant had good reviews and ordered had my dinner delivered by seamless. It couldn’t have been easier. The chicken Teaka masala was delicious I went with the spicy version and it was pretty peppy although not feed a lease so. The garlic Nan bread was also wonderful very fragrant in the vegetable samosas wereA nice addition. Be sure to get the raita if you worry about needing to cool off your pallet.

Ordered take out ~picked up order ~ nice warm decor - We had the tandoori chicken, Hyderabadi chicken biryani, palak paneer and the garlic naan. The food was well flavored and more than enough food for two people. The only issue is the menu states tandoori chicken (half) but it is two pieces of the leg and thigh. Also the Hyderabadi chicken biryani states "pieces" of chicken but it's two halves of a leg with bone. Neither issues takeaway from the great tasting of the meal. We live in North Newark and it took less than 10 minutes to get there. This is now our go to Indian restaurant. Will be ordering more food very soon - maybe next week - yummy!!

The Food is great and the drinks are really refreshing. Some of the drinks are specialized Indian Cocktails, and they are really refreshing and tangy. Our server informed us that our " Frozen Mango Mystery" pairs really well with the Chicken 65 Biryani, and once we ordered it, after tasting we were amazed by the flavors. The Crispy and Sauce Chicken with the slow cooked Dum Rice, is HEAVEN.

While staying at a hotel in New Jersey, I had a craving for some authentic Indian cuisine. I decided on Urban Tandoor via Uber Eats, and the experience exceeded my expectations.
The delivery was punctual, arriving right in the hotel lobby. I was particularly impressed with the packaging - everything was sealed tightly, ensuring no spills or mess, which is so crucial when you're not at home.
The Chicken 65 Biryani stood out with its delightful combination of spices and succulent chicken. The Butter Chicken had a velvety texture with a burst of flavors in every bite. The Paneer Naan was an innovative delight, fluffy with a delectable paneer filling that was seasoned to perfection. Accompanying Raita provided a cool and refreshing contrast, balancing out the rich flavors.
Ending the meal with Ras Malai was like the cherry on top. Soft, spongy, and swimming in a creamy milk syrup, it was the perfect ending to an exquisite meal.
Urban Tandoor truly knows how to cater to its customers, ensuring top-notch food quality, packaging, and delivery, even to a hotel lobby. Highly recommended for anyone in New Jersey looking for an Indian culinary experience!

Urban Tandoor's Butter Chicken is a culinary delight, offering tender tandoor-roasted chicken in a rich, creamy tomato-based sauce. one of the worst experience in jersey city specially in harrison. even after calling and asking what they have ready. when we arrived at the restaurant they didn’t gave us a table. rude and aggressive behavior mentioning about the bald head manager. we already ordered some drinks at the drinks section he’s like we are not giving a table saying that the food we asked for was packed and the kitchen is closed but still 45 mins left for closing. worst indian restaurant in terms of service and customer service. food taste and fame of the restaurant should not bring you to be a state of rudeness and narrow minded.

My Girlfriend and I were looking for Indian Restaurants to visit, this place kept coming up, and we said we would try it, but it always had a wait. So finally we decided to try it yesterday, and honestly I regret not trying it sooner. Urban Tandoor is really one of the best Indian restaurants in NJ. I heard a story that the owners opened this place up almost 10 years ago because they didn't like the "Americanized Indian Food" that they had in NJ. Honestly, it shows that they care, each of their dishes from the Lamb Chops to the Chicken 65 Biryani has outstanding flavor and is really comparable to what we ate in India. They were running some Christmas Specials and their Cocktails were also really great.
Definitely worth checking out...

I came across this place sort of accidentally just walking up Harrison Avenue.
I’m not sure where you would park if you were driving here.
It was very good.
I started with a Taj Mahal beer and they brought me a thin Indian chip type thing with two dips (picture attached) it was good with the beer.
I also ordered a Palak Paneer ( pureed spinach with cheese chunks and a lamb curry with rice (picture also attached).
Everything was very good .
I travel to this area for work every month or so. I’ll add this place to my regular dinner spots in Harrison / East Newark!

Overall happy with my experience. Good service and food was overall good. But while I felt the spice level appropriate, it just wasn't a layered spice. Like there wasn't a lot of depth to it. The raita was soupy than I'm used to but everyone's version of this is different. I also wasn't overly impressed with the rice pudding.

Everything was great, went with my girlfriend for lunch and we don't usually eat Indian food, but this restaurant... is something else. The Flavors, the taste, the CRISPY NAAN-- so delicious with some Mutton Paya Soup. I can't get enough of the Butter Chicken either, it is perfectly spiced and extremely flavorful. I will definitely be back to this place. Specially crafted Indian Drinks, amazing bartender and amazing drinks.

The boss decided to order a company lunch from this place… and it was so good. The flavors the, amazing taste and it was hot and fresh when we received it. The fusion dishes were so great and so flavorful, I will definitely be coming here with my family, asap. Love this place.

The food is great, the service is always impeccable and the cocktails are actually really good, I did not expects such great cocktails and beers from an Indian place but it is actually extremely delicious. Our favorites were the Mango Mystery and the mojito. The Biryani and Chicken 65 were also really good.

So here it is,
I came across this place when I was looking for an Indian restaurant to go to, this place (Was one of the first ones to come up as the best Indian restaurant in New Jersey,) so I went and checked it out. The place is really cool, It stands out with its ambience, And all the food tastes authentic, especially the chicken 65 biryani, and lamb chops. (All the reviews were saying that people come from across the state to get that).
Drinks are also great, Couple friends and I got the Urban Negroni and Lychee Martini. Dessert is also good, but we had to get a couple as they are a bit small, they had Gulab Jamun and a Rasmalai Tres Leches that both tasted nice, and fitting because we were celebrating a birthday.
Overall, it was a great experience and I would definitely recommend visiting the restaurant.

We had a corporate lunch party here and it was extraordinarily delicious. You can tell that they put a lot of work and effort into everything they do especially in regards to the dishes as well as all of the drinks. Great food and really great atmosphere...I definitely recommend it to anyone who is looking for a special event/party/etc.
