I have lived in Haddonfield for many years and have ordered from Little Tokyo for at least the last 5 years. The food is generally very good. I tend to order online. For the last year that I have ordered, the food preparation time is dismal. I would show up within 30 minutes only to have to wait anywhere from 30-45 extra minutes for the food. This has happened repeatedly. I don't know if it is a problem with the website but I think not as I just called about my order before I showed up which was supposed to have been ready at 5:55 PM, ordered at 5:30 PM and was told it won't be ready until at least 20 minutes from now. Better to take your business to Fuji or Megu Sushi. The only reason I stuck with LT is my kids like it.

Cute little place with good food

Versatile place! You can order on line and get a take out, they also deliver, it is also possible to eat in. Not being locals that was the option for us. Casual atmosphere. Tofu miso soup, avocado salad, salmon skin salad, variety of appetizers and eel sushi are good.

Appalling. Went in today with my 5 and 6 year old. I ordered a spicy tuna roll for each of them and said it was for the kids, so please not too hot. They took that as “Extra spicy” and made it so hot that I couldn’t even eat the pieces (and I love hot and spicy foods) They were also playing music with non stop expletives and numerous sexual references. When i asked if that was really appropriate for a restaurant or a place where KIDS are I received an eye roll. Just skip this place. The staff couldn’t care less about their customers and the food was sub par.

Tiny in Size but Big on Quality

Tiny storefront with only a handful of tables, but sushi is fresh, well presented, and tasty. You have to be willing to overlook the lack of chinaware and ambiance when eating in, but prices are very reasonable. Delivery service is available too, and it took only 30 minutes from ordering online to arrival a time our door. It looks like they do more delivery than customers dining there, so I hope them much success and longevity at this location!

Great Hole in the Wall Sushi Place

This is a nice little hole in the wall sushi place. Had a salmon avocado roll... they're very generous with both the fish and avocado,and the price is great. Not a ton of seating (or ambiance), but it'll do (but I'll probably mainly do takeout here). Nice selection of standard sushi (plus sushi burritos and bowls), but nothing "exotic" (no scallops, etc).

Little Tokyo Is A Little Uneven

My wife & I recently did something we rarely do: returned to the same restaurant the following night. Looking for a casual dinner while strolling through Haddonfield, we stopped at Little Tokyo and and had a nice experience. Sitting outside, on a beautiful summer night, my wife enjoyed her Tokyo Signature Sushi bowl almost as much as I enjoyed my Tokyo Signature Teriyaki bowl. My only disappointment was the Mushroom soup, which contained very few mushrooms and was almost too spicy to eat. But the soup was a minor issue, and the bowls were so good that we decided to return with our son the following evening. This time I had the Signature Sushi bowl and my wife opted for the California Bowl. Unfortunately the experience was not quite as good the second time around; my wife discovered several strips of plastic in her meal (probably remnants of packaging that had been cut open), and I found a piece in my bowl as well. I didn't enjoy the Sushi bowl as much as the Teriyaki bowl from the previous evening. Our son had a Sushi Burrito, which he said was "okay," but not nearly as good as the one he gets at Oki Maki's recently opened Cherry Hill location. The restaurant's other sushi and hibachi offerings are pretty standard fare, and since we have not tried them I can't comment on the quality. I will say, however, that there is tremendous competition in the Haddonfield and Cherry Hill area for restaurants--and sushi restaurants in particular--so I suspect Little Tokyo will find itself in difficulty if it doesn't step up its game with respect to quality control. That said, it is a cute and affordable little place if you want a quick bite. I hope that our one less than optimal experience was an anomaly, and that the restaurant will succeed, because they seem like nice people, and have a great location. We'll probably give them another shot; I'll be interested to see the reactions of other reviewers. They seem focused on take-out, but there is a small indoor seating area in addition to a few tables outdoors.
