The food was delicious and our Server was vry nice. He brought our Hot Tea almost immiately and the food was served so graciously. There were such generous portions of food.

This is classic American Chinese and it is yummy. We had a group of 7 including 3 kids and did one of the meal deals and it was great. Kids loved it. So did we. The spare ribs are probably the best I have had...in years. Egg foo young was so well prepared. Pepper steak, garlic beef, egg rolls, lo mein and soups were yummy. Again it is American chinese so if that’s what you are into this place does a great job.More

Boys call it the Green Tea place - service is excellent - portions are large (plenty to take home or share). Pretty much the usual menu. I love the spare ribs and fried rice. And the scoop of ice cream at the end is just...enough (with the fortune cookie of course!)More

My wife and I were celebrating my birthday, which happens to fall on Valentine’s Day. She, being pregnant felt sick and wasn’t a fan of the original dish she ordered. And the Hong Kong palace friendly waitstaff replaced it with a similar dish for free....We are so thankful because we didn’t mind sharing my Singapore mei fun (which was amazing) but we love service that makes us feel like family. If you’re craving delicious Chinese cuisine in Hackettstown. Hong Kong palace is the only place worth the money. Also the yellow sauce they serve for free isn’t honey mustard. It was crazy and we wish they warned us what it was. Other than that. Amazing!!More

The fact the restaurant has outlasted so many other restaurants, especially Chinese, in Hackettstown is a tribute to how good it is. The decor is typical of a classic Chinese restaurant, with booths and tables, and currency on the wall by the cash register!!! The...food is what you go for and also the hospitality of Jeto and his family. The waiters have been a part of the restaurant for years and are all excellent. All the food is good from the dumplings, soups and main courses but the spare ribs are the best anywhere. My kids are now out west and still crave the ribs! Prices are very reasonable, and service great. If you have a request or would like to change a dish around they will always do their best to accommodate you.More

Hong Kong Palace is a staple in Hackettstown, my family has frequented the resturant since its opening back in the 1980's. It is family owned and serves authentic Chinese food. Their dumplings are on par with what you get if you are actually in Hong...Kong. How do I know, I go there!!! While the interior could use and upgrade the food is number 1. Don't miss the chance to enjoy a great meal with your family and friends at this resturant!!More

If re- visiting the 70’s and 80’s is in your plans- then a visit to Hong Kong Palace in Hackettstown is right up your alley. So much about our visit reinforced how much this place is in need of a serious update. From the tired...and slightly peeling wallpaper over the front door to the very tired menu filled with dishes from another era even to the tired maroon waiter jackets with black bow ties - we kept waiting for Rod Serling to appear and confirm we were in the Twilight Zone. The shame is we encountered Very nice people working here- but that fact unfortunately did not make up for the dining experience today.More

Classic Chinese restaurant with food cooked to American tastes but able to "turn it up"on request and get more authentic. Service is quick and efficient , prices are reasonable, portions are more than satisfactory.

I'm not from the area. I was just driving through and saw this place pop up on my google search. I haven't been to a sit-down Chinese place in ages, so if figured I would give it a go. Although it is bland inside, the...waiters were very kind and attentive. It was very authentic. The portions were such a great value and huge. I think they come with soup and dessert. I received free tea. If I am ever in the area again, I hope to go!More
