My first mistake was to ask a salesman at the Mall's Store whether the Restaurant was ok. He positively acknowledged that the place is one of the better Mexican Restaurants in the area. What a flop this dining experience has become. We ordered house special guacamole to be prepared at the table. A one Guacamole appetizer that was over-salted and... More

Rosa Mexicano has a number of original dishes on the menu and the ownership prides themselves upon sourcing the spices and Mexican ingredients from native purveyors. The quacamole is made tableside and never disappoints. Drink prices are high and they have few beer selections

My family and I had a nice dinner at the Rosa Mexicano restaurant which is located at the Riverside Square Mall in Hackensack, NJ. The service and food was very good. I had grilled jumbo shrimp with garlic.

While I can't speak to the everyday menu, after reading about Rosa Mexicano's Passover menu (celebrating its 10th year), we just had to try it. Jewish-Mexican fusion? But it really works! At $44 per person for a prix-fixe menu or a la carte is a bit steep, everything was unique and delicious (and you can even substitute the traditional wine... More

Nothing about my experience here matched the prices. The service was okay but somewhat awkward - taking food away before we were done, asking us to hand things to her while we were eating, etc. We felt rushed even though the restaurant wasn't busy. The food was very mediocre other than the chips and salsa. The prices were RIDICULOUS! $14.50... More

We arrived at Rosa Mexicano on a Saturday evening without reservations and even though I was abruptly told reservations were needed, there were plenty of open tables and were seated fairly promptly. Our waiter was pleasant, bubbly, prompt, and a little too eager to offer table side guacamole (which we declined) and drinks, without us even picking up the menus... More

Looked like a good place to stop for dinner. Sat at a high top table in the bar. Ordered beer and fresh made guacamole molcajete. It was delicious! Then had the Tres Enchiladas. Very good as well (one beef, and two chicken with different sauces). Service was a bit slow, but we had time so that did not become a... More

We have been going to this restaurant for at least 15 years once or twice a year, and sometimes got fantastic food and other times were vaguely disappointed. Tonight was somewhere in the middle with the table side guacamole made perfectly to order but somehow not very flavorful. I suspect the guacamole fruit was not highest quality. The Nachos de... Margarita drinks, Guacamole, enchiladas and empanadas...all very yummy. Guacamole according to your tastebuds makes it extra special.
