Lotus was packed as it was one of the few restaurants open on Christmas. They honored our reservation and we proceeded to order. I always order vegetarian and my food was delicious. The appetizers were good also (peanut noodles and scallion pancakes). My friend didn’t like her chicken as much and her husband complained that his steak was fried. The service was rushed due to it being so crowded. I would definitely go back but on a different day and order what I had.

It was different from what I grew up with but the food was good and the atomospher casual. Good for a quick bite.

We had dinner at the Lotus Cafe while visiting family in N.J. It had been recommended to the people we were visiting and so on their recommendation we decided to go their for supper. It is in a strip mall and looks quite ordinary from the outside. However, the food we ordered was delicious and the service was great.

Sad, looks like it was sold during Covid ? Not anywhere close to the old Lotus. Service was slow so used to the old management you could get in and out under 1/2 for business lunch. Food is not the same
Hot sour was watery. Hope they get better since it is a great location

I love going to lotus cafe! It's such a warm, welcoming environment. Vishal gave us extra special treatment -- I didn't know what I wanted to order and he helped me figure it out and it was delicious and even had left overs. Love that there's always plenty of parking and plenty of options on the menu to enjoy variety every time I visit. Thank you!!

I have been going to Lotus Cafe for many, many years. Always boasted its the best chinese food in the area. Ordered from there the other night. I don't know whats different but the food, all of it, was not nearly the same as it used to be. What a shame.

Greeting when you walk in - horrible
Waited for a server for 10 min
ordered Pork fried rice - pork was old all diff colors, they just added from leftovers
Sesame chicken - no color at all looked like chicken fingers with sauce on the bottom of the plate
egg roll - no flavor
Whoever the manager was, she did not care one bit - about there product or customer! Feed people from your country this food or your family.
Disappointing - brought my mom who was so excited to a horror restaurant
Not enough business to keep fresh food? NO THANK YOU

This is the first time I have ever eaten here. The food & service is exceptional. I took my daughter & grandson there for his birthday. The amount of food is huge, We ordered wonton soup & hot & sour soup, which was hot & delicious. The fired dumplings were to die for; the best I ever had. For our main course we ordered General Tso Chicken, Tangerine Chicken & Pork Fried Rice which was fabulous. After Dinner, they brought my grandson Chocolate Ice cream with a candle & sang Happy Birthday to him. It is a little pricey, but worth every penny. I highly recommend you try them. We definitely be going back.

I gave Lotus cafe 1 star because although the food was okay, the lady at the front desk was not easy to work with. When I say there is not enough fortune cookie that come with my meal, she lectured me on how many each meal comes with. Every time I come back it is the same story, they lecture me on what they serve. I just think in this kind of business, you need to please the costumer. For these reasons I wont step in lotus ever again.

Their cuisine is as good as anything in NYC. Fried dumplings and beef chow fun are my favorites but everything I have tried is well prepared and presented. Good wait staff in a clean restaurant.

I have been eating here 20 plus years. If you are looking for some delicious Chinese food this is your place for lunch or dinner. With the new renovations completed it was a pleasure walking in and I must say they did a fantastic job. I started with the steamed seafood dumplings as an appetizer, 8 really plentiful stuffed with shrimp, crab and a veggie (not sure what it was but it taste was delicious). Also we ordered egg drop soup. I had white rice and sautéed scallops that was in a black bean sauce! You will love this taste and you can actually see the black beans and tossed with carrots, onions, green peppers. The other entrée was General Tso's Chicken and the authentic taste was spot on. the portions are enough that two could and feel full from just one entrée. We were full after appetizers and dinner. So we didn't have any dessert. In the past I had the Lychees and ice cream. Oh the fortune cookies are chocolate. In the past I had chicken with broccoli, lo mein shrimp, kung po chicken, shrimp with garlic sause, shrimp rolls, hot and sour soup.

Group of 6 did the Chinese Christmas thing and was a nice experience. There was a line to get in but fortunately we had a reservation. Service was great and attentive and the food was quiet good. I would very much recommend this as a place to go if you like Chinese food. Prices as well were decent. Place was crowded hence a little loud but not horrible.

Been going for years and always enjoy. There are a few unusual vegetarian choices(e.g.mustard greens and snap peas) but our very favorite is the ta loo mein soup...many ingredients and spices and delicious.
