This was our fourth trip. The food is really well prepared and I am surprised it is not outrageously popular. The building started out many years ago as a gas station then a cafe/diner. Now a decent atmosphere dining room adorns the property. There are...a few parking spaces out front with difficult parking in this densely populated neighborhood. There is entertainment starting about 9 PM on weekends. On occasion a few tables are cleared away for dancing. We were there for New Year's Eve 2019 and had a most excellent evening. We got there early so there is an early bird menu, a four course dinner for $15.95 pp. Service was timely with no long waits between courses. Soft drinks are available by the glass for $3.00 extra with free refills. Several choices of appetizer, glass of wine, soup or salad, several choices of entree, Friday night the dessert was vanilla ice cream only, coffee. Zoila's is a BYOB. Now the wine tasted like they had mixed all the red wines that customers had not taken with them. I could not distinguish the type, only red was available. The food is always nicely prepared. I had the spinach, mushroom melted cheese appetizer my wife ordered the eggplant rollatini, we shared both. A decent portion for both, My wife had the squash soup, a decent sized bowl was served. My salad was large with house dressing (oil and vinegar) only available. No salt and pepper is available on the tables. The waiter ground pepper some for my salad. You really do not need salt and pepper because everything is well seasoned. I had the salmon, it looked like a 4 oz portion, which was adequate and what would you reasonably expect for $15.95 complete. My wife had the shrimp parmisan which was very well prepared, breaded, large and delicious. We skipped the dessert and enjoyed the coffee. I taste the coffee at restaurants black. If it is good I drink it without milk or creamer. I drank mine black. There were familiar offerings on the regular menu. The decadent 24 ounce steak, the most delicious and large portion stuffed pork chops. You gotta try this place!!More
