The food seems smaller compared to normal Korean restaurants. Also it is fairly expensive compared to normal Korean restaurant for the same dishes.

Have been to many Korean BBQ restaurants in North America and S. Korea, this one is up there! It was traditional Korean food/BBQ with all the side dishes. Restaurant is in the heart of the Korean area of New Jersey too!

Northern New Jersey has its share of Korean style BBQ restaurants. Among these Poong Lim is at the top. Kalbi (short ribs) comes in marinated and non marinated versions and there are other meat varieties as well. Friendly staff will assist with the table top cooking while youth enjoy many side dishes that are unique to the Korean cuisine, including... More

Great Korean restaurant, good location. Restaurant has two sections, party rooms and BBQ grills. I love Korean BBQ. My favorite is Galbi(beef). Can't go wrong with it. Seats are comfortable. Just a little smoky. Need to improve the ventilation system.

Go for the Bulgogi and the hot Bibimbap... avoid the cold tea and make it piping hot. Worth the meal, the service is very good.

This huge restaurant serves very average Korean food. It's a good place to come for a wedding reception or a large gathering. But if you're looking for outstanding food or a good place for a dinner with a few friends, keep looking.

This is only my second experience eating Korean food and I was not disappointed. The service was superb. Dishes kept appearing and everything was very good. The little dumplings covered with chili sauce were the best of all. I had the BBQ marinated beef and it was delicious. The cold noodle soup had a nice subtle flavor. My companion had... More

I was visiting my cousin in NJ and she suggested we dine here. I was apprehensive due to my 3 crazy young kids but was dying to eat Korean. There was a wedding reception going on at the same time as we were there but the service was still excellent. We had the sushi/sashimi, kalbi (Korean BBQ marinated beef) and... More

Wow, quite an experience. The food was delicious! I had the pleasure of dining at Poonglim in early July while in the area for business. My host, who is Korean, chose Poong lim because he knew of my fondness for Korean bar-b-que and I was not disappointed. The banchan was delicious (especially enjoyed Poong lim’s kimchee) and the bar-b-que was... More
