This place has two thing on the menu. Short ribs. They are VERY TASTY but for $22, I do not believe it is worth the price. Tofu soup. They offer several varieties of Tofu soup. Meat, seafood, mushroom, etc. You can get it from no spice to CRAZY SPICY!! This soup is beyond delicious. You cannot go wrong eating here.

I enjoy coming here for tasty soup. You can choose your level of spiciness - I can usually tolerate some spiciness but for me the mild here is enough. Soup comes boiling hot with rice, and ample appetizers - kimchi, pickled cucumber, broccoli, sprouts...all very tasty. Atmosphere is busy yet cozy and the service is pretty good.

The food is very very good and the service was not bad. Their soups are wonderful and the bowls are huge and I took home what I didn't finish. The server wasn't very friendly or happy to be working, not sure if it's a cultural thing but if service is not important then you'll like this place just fine.

This is the original and best tasting korean tofu soup destination. Their ban-chan (side dishes) are not as well executed as the restaurant a couple blocks away that do the same dishes, but their main dish is excellent. Pick your soup base and crack an egg into it when it comes to the table and slurp away with rice and... More

Went on a a Saturday lunch-time for something a little different than usual. We liked the decor, which put is in the right mood. Service was very quick, the order taken within seconds of being ready. The menu is small, but with a variety of choices available for meat, seafood, or vegetarian, and well as spice level. We did a... More

Very effiicient, excellent and fresh food. Was pre-seated while waiting, we were able to read the whole menu and order in advance of sitting down. Very smart! We were never leaving no matter how long we had to wait.

this was a change for me... not often i'd go for korean bbq after a day hike. usually, you'd find me at Menya Sandaime. though, this place was right around the corner from them, parking is always an issue. So Kong Dong's parking lot is tiny... as always the staff greets you as you walk into the door. we were... More

I love Korean food and have been to Korea once on business. I was wined and dined while there only going to the best restaurants. The seafood tofu soup (soon dofu) at So Kong Dong is the best since Iw as in Korea. They have a large variety of choices of additions to the soup. I had seafood - shrimp,... More

Also known as Soft Tofu Restaurant, this place is consistently good. The prices have gone up about 20% in the past two years, but it is still one of the best values in the New York metro area for Korean. The long lines from years ago have subsided and the food is still as good as ever.

NY Times recommended, so we went for lunch. Limited menu. Nine soups - huge bowls still boiling. Lots of complimentary sides come out first. Warning the eggs are fresh. Save them to put in the soup. We loved the bbq ribs and sticky rice. Try it. You might like it. It's obvious the locals do. Great service, too.
