We took my daughter here with some of her friends to celebrate her birthday. Some of us enjoyed the evening laughing. The food and drinks were delightful, as the atmosphere. The service on the other hand was a trip. Waitress had way too many spills...over the course of the dinner. My husband was furious! The rest of us laughed it off. To make it up to us we received a free glass of champagne. My husband was not pleased with his meal or of the service. My daughter had a good time. That's all that matter to me.More

We celebrated our friends promotion and had an absolutely wonderful time. Will and Christina were our servers and they were so much fun to chat with and were excellent sports. Food was great and wine selection was spot on. Decor was very Casablanca and chic....Next time we will hang out at the bar as well. Overall a wonderful place to celebrate.More

My husband and I have been to this fabulous restaurant many times over the years for special occasions like Valentine's Day, anniversaries and have always enjoyed the service as well as the food period tonight we came with friends for restaurant week and once again...Raven did not disappoint! Food was fabulous, service was attentive and the place is beautiful. Probably our favorite restaurant in Monmouth county!More

After a wonderful experience here last year, we decided to celebrate a special occasion with a party of 8. What a poor experience compared to the prior year. While the food was still excellent the service was terrible. We were there over 2.5 hours and...left without dessert as everything took too long. When asked for recommendatio the waitress basically read us the menu. There were never any offers of additional drinks. We had to ask for spins to serve the shared sides. When the bar didn’t have an ingredient in one of their signature cocktails, the waitress authorized them to make it without and just a ST Ed it. When questioned she said oh yeah-they do t have that so if you do t like it I’ll take it back!More

We went here for the second time to celebrate my birthday on a Saturday night with my family. The food was great but the service was absolutely horrible. We were there for three hours without being served dessert. When I complained to management I got...a blank stare. We even had to ask for steak knives for our steaks. No offer of a discount, a gift card or anything!! My family is used to fine dining and this was by far one of our worst dining experiences as far as service. We were never offered additional drinks and my water was never refilled Will never return although food was great. It’s clear that the waitress was inexperienced and management did not back her up. We were a large party who all left disappointed.More

If you’re anywhere near Raven and the Peach on a Sat night when Barbara Rose is at the piano, do yourself the honor of dropping in to the lounge to hear a true virtuoso at work. To compare Barbara with your average restaurant piano player...would be like comparing Minnesota Fats with the local pool hall hustler. Barbara tickles the ivories like no one else I’ve heard in NJ and I live for live entertainment ( and play the piano myself). Barbara was a child protégée and attended Juilliard at age 6 ( did someone whisper, Mozart?). She glorifies Cole Porter tunes and puts a polish on Billy Joel songs that would mesmerize Billy, himself. Go see her! The Raven & the Peach imparts a Casablanca style to its decor and ambience. It is one of the more beautiful restaurants along the Jersey shore. The menu is unbiasedly divided among fish and meat selections with a choice of several angus beef steak entrees for the true steak lover. In this setting, the food is inspiring; one anticipates a savory fine dining meal. But I do have to say that the delivery is a bit less than the hype. The filet mignon lacked proper seasoning and medium- rare was presented as medium-well. Neither juicy nor abundantly tender, this was not your DelFrisco filet mignon. The wedge salad was not well chilled. The Caesar salad had an interesting dressing but not one that truly exemplifies what you might be hoping for with your salad. Service was more than adequate but all in all the meal fell a bit short of what my wife and I were expecting. But we were not about to let the food diminish our hope for a wonderful evening. So, back to the piano bar we went for relaxing after-dinner drinks and another dose of Barbara Rose, maestro of the keys. Alls well that ends well, I believe it’s been said. And happily such was the case at Raven & the Peach where our evening will be long remembered. 3.5 STARS for food. 10 STARS for entertainment.More

We celebrated our 7th wedding anniversary. We love coming here, not only for the food, but the ambience - they really make you feel comfortable and welcome. They gave us complementary champagne since it was a special occasion. For our appetizers, I had the corn...chowder with crabmeat which was delicious! Hubby had the salmon tuna poke bowl which he said was outrageous! It had small fried avocado that was absolutely fabulous! For our dinner entrees, hubby had pan seared scallops in a butternut squash risotto that was awesome! I asked if they had any vegetarian entrees - our server, William, said they would be glad to make any accommodation. So, I ordered the roasted brussel sprouts, sauteed spinach, grilled asparagus & sauteed mushrooms. It was out of this world! Huge portions - I couldn't finish it all. We had to save some room for our dessert which was a peanut butter souffle. We shared it - it was quite filling. And, oh, so good! We hope to keep returning!More

We came to Raven on a Sunday to celebrate a friend's 87th birthday and were thrilled by the service and the food. The waiter was excellent and the 5 of us each tried different entrees. Everyone was pleased with their dishes which included Scallops, Strip...Steak, Fish Special with Lobster Risotto, French Cut Chicken, and Salmon. The drinks were superb also. A complimentary ice cream desert encircled with Happy 87th Birthday in chocolate was the finishing touch. Truly a memorable and enjoyable experience. One note, The Handicapped entrance is in the front at street level. through the pationMore

We had steak, filet, 3 small slices, should have been more Potato pancake was good Vegetables were nothing special Lobster was good Pork chop was good Salmon was a little fishy, we should know better than order fish on a Monday as it was probably...not fresh They ran out of bread Salad wedge was good No salt or pepper on the table Over charged us on bar tab Charged us for 3 beers, when we only had 2, but to get 2 we had to remind waiter 3 times, so watch bill Desserts were good, gelato Christmas eve menu was limited and we were never told of limited menu Booth seating was uncomfortable, ask for a table Atmosphere was nice If it is not on menu dont bother asking for it We asked for just vanilla gelato for dessert but they had been pre-prepared so it was a no go We were given old drink menu so when we ordered from it, we were told it was not available, really, cant make a drink from old drink menu Probably needs a new manager and most issues could be fixed Not overly crowded for Christmas eve so we feel things should have been betterMore

Very expensive and very tough steak. A 12 oz. NY Strip was $36! A third of it was inedible. Also, did not have the wine I wanted in stock.
