Great place for Colombian breakfast or a quick cup of Colombian coffee. The place is divided into a bakery and a restaurant. Parking can get tough since is a parking meter or you can park across the street parking lot. Service was good but kind...of slow; but the food was delicious.More

The pandebonos are even better than back in Colombia! Amazing and the carne plates are wonderful. Something for everyone. Best coffee too!

I was in Elizabeth, NJ for an unusual reason today, there to visit the town my mum's older half-sister, who she had never met, and who had settled there as a young Irish girl many years before in 1929, and where she lived happily for...the rest of her years. Long story short we had to pick somewhere for the Uber to take us to spend some time in the home town of my mum's family. The hustle bustle of the Brisas Colombianas made us feel so at home within seconds of arriving. I loved how everyone spoke Spanish and the people were just so friendly. We were not there for very long but we felt so at home whike we were there. Staying 4 days in New York and our 5 min stop in Brisas will be one of our best memories!! I would recommend a visit!More

When my good Colombian friend invited us to go to his favorite restaurant, I couldn't pass up the opportunity. Brisas lived up to all his high praise, for it was an excellent dining experience. Located in a bustling area full of restaurants on Morris Ave....in Elizabeth, Brisas has a convivial atmosphere with wait staff dressed in traditional clothing and music playing in the background (there are also live singers there at certain times). The service was attentive and friendly. The star, however, is the food which is tasty and (my friend assured me) authentic. The empanadas (Colombian style) and tostones with guacamole to start hit the spot. I had arroz con camarones (shrimp with rice) which was plentiful and delicious. My wife had camarones al ajillo (shrimp in garlic) which was also excellent. Everyone else who ordered different dishes were equally satisfied. We had a pitcher of sangria to go along with the meal. The deserts looked very good (I was so full I had to pass) too. I would highly recommend Brisas to fans of Colombian food or anyone who wants to experience it for the first time. It does get crowded, so plan ahead, and metered parking is available on the streets and in lots nearby (be prepared with your quarters).More

In a town full of South American resturants, Brisas stands on his own. Being a new and shining place, it felt upscale compared to other restaurants near by. The price reflects that. it charges a bit more than the near-by places but it compensate for...a clean and vibrant interior, huge portion of food and selections, and friendly wait staff in uniforms. On my first / test visit, I ordered a Colombian combo (BANDEJA PAISA or VALLUNA?) which is large enough to feed my whole family. It was so huge (see photo). Everything on that plate was tasty. I especially like the breaded pork which is crisp but not greesy. The pork skin was on the harder side. Sausages, rice, lentil, green plantain were all nicely done. Next time I have friends in town and want upscale Colombian food, this will be the place I bring them to.More

Very good food and service with very reasonable prices! Must try! I usually don't spring for dessert, but the passionfruit dessert was amazing!

I had a very good dining experience at this restaurant. Although I was alone, I didn’t feel alone. The waiters were very friendly and attentive. They brought out a complimentary empanada, which tasted very much like the ones my mom makes. Good touch there! The...Cazuelita Albeira was delicious with authentic flavors in the meat, chorizo, and frijoles. I love that food! You get good authentic cooking at a very reasonable price. Having a soccer game on the big screen and traditional latin music playing in the background made for an enjoyable evening. I would definitely try it again next time I’m in the area.More

The food in the sitdown restaurant is plentiful and tasty. The wait staff are great and make good suggestions. The bakery however is the star of the show. Their goods are all fantastic. And the bakery staff are super friendly and helpful. Can't wait to...return.More

This place does not disappoint. It's not upscale but it is very good and very comfortable. The staff are really friendly as well. They really welcome you here. Oh yeah The food! Almojabanas are awesome. It's a bread. The empanadas are literally the best. It's...like this is the place for them. The rice and beans were well seasoned as well as everything else in our order. 6 of us all enjoyed the chicharron, grilled chicken, grilled steak. Some orders may be too big. Especially the bandeja paisa but its oh so good. Even if you get the mini bandeja paisa is a lot. Get the calentado with your choice of meat. YUM! 👍More
