My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our meal at the Jade Dynasty. She had the sesame chicken combo and I had a Hunan beef combo both were excellent and the ice cream at the end of the meal was very good as well.

Have been doing take-out from here for years and have never had a problem. I place my order by phone and am given a time when it will be ready for pickup. My order is usually ready when I arrive and the one or two...times it wasn't ready, my wait was only a couple of minutes. And the service is always friendly. My orders are always the large size. The meals have always been great, even when heating up the left overs a couple days later. There is also plenty of tables available for dine-in.More
This is a great place to get real good food and hot tea. the service is fast and the food comes out in really great big portions. I always take some home. The big family groups I see there all the time have a lot...of fun too meeting up there. The people who own this place are really nice as well.More
I was a guest at this restaurant for a large birthday party. We sampled too many dishes to count. Every single thing was so plentiful and delicious. I would certainly dine there whenever in this area.
We started with the fried dumplings—very good choice. Great flavor; thin dumpling shell; great sauce We had Park West Village Beef - “Hunan Beef”. Excellent presentation; huge portion; great flavor and lots of veggies and beef Hot & sour soup was very good also
When I'm traveling through Edison NJ I always stop at Jade Dynasty. The meals are always so delicious. Hot Fresh clean. Excellent service. The owners are always there with happy and chatty smiles. If I lived closer, Id be there every night. Thanks! Look forward...to seeing you all soon. Keep Smilin' :)More
We live 30 miles from this restaurant but drove there on Saturday night for our Chinese New Year meal. It's been there for 35 years and has the same owner which makes for the consistency. they had a special New Year's meal, but we stayed...with our Chinese favorites. Lots of parking. Right on the main road and easy to get to. When I lived in that area we would go there all the time. But when it came time to pick a restaurant for Chinese New Year, we all voted for this little, local establishment! And they still take the Entertainment Card! They also have a large party room downstairs. Saturday night they had a bus of folks from Taiwan and one from Hong Kong...travelers who came to celebrate the Lunar New Year while here in the USMore
Mid week dinners are pleasurable because the restaurants are less crowded, and the staff is able to adequately wait on you. We were a group of six, and were served quickly and attentively throughout. A few entrees , plus a la carte egg rolls ,...were our staples. The shrimp in lobster sauce were plump and juicy, but the size was a bit skimpy for the price. Noodles in soy sauce and mushrooms were tangy. Chicken and vegetables was a larger portion, and tasty. The white rice was good, but we could have used a bit more. Tea kettles were on the table with old fashioned tea cups. However the waiter could not tell us what type of tea it was. Also the crispy noodles in the aluminum bowls were crunchy and fun to dip into the two sauces provided. The check was accompanied by plastic wrapped fortune cookies, and we all laughed at our prophesies. The restaurant could probably use an updating, but the floor to ceiling bubble wall is an amusing attraction. There is ample parking, and a party room in the lower level. As an aside, there are old time gumball machines in the entry foyer. So retro and from a long lost era we so enjoyed!More
Ordered pork fried rice, the pork they use is pale, dry, chewy & tasteless - so is the actual rice. The crunchy soup noodles they serve?... they were stale & rancid, I would imagine that they keep recycling them from table service leftovers! The entrees...are just plain bland! Soups?... also tasteless. I just don’t understand how people stay in business like this, but I guess that’s just me. And it certainly is NOT a good value.... about 30% higher on most menu items than all other local restaurants. JMO.More
Jade Dynasty is a throwback to the days before Americans knew good Chinese food. We were a party of eight and everything we tried here was bland, soggy, salty or stale. We're not coming back.
I give them two stars because they are nice. The food we ordered this evening was pretty bad. Something was off about everything we ordered all but the pre made stuff IE spring rolls. The chicken in every dish was boing boing. Just terrible. We...tried to fill ourselves on fried noodles and rice. My daughter said, "hey, the rice is good" haha!More
One of few left sit in Chinese restaurant that serves delicious Chinese food without the overkill with grease. They serve the best bird nest. The place is clean and pleasantly decorated. The hostess is so welcoming and funny.
This little restaurant on Amboy Ave in Edison is a hidden gem. Lisa the owner is delightful and cannot do enough for her customers. The food is outstanding and you can make any combinations you wish. Always comes out piping hot and served by a...pleasant efficient staff. The atmosphere is what you want it to be, friendly ,bustling or quiet. After your first visit you will be remembered by Lisa , and greeted as a friend. Thinking Chinese don't miss Jade Dynasty.More
I have eaten here before and was always satisfied. Yesterday, however, was a big disappointment. The fried rice was dry and virtually tasteless. My shrimp with vegetables was also not full of flavor. From what I was told by my dining partners, the wonton soup...was good and the egg roll was fine. (They also thought the fried rice wasn't good and, in fact, the one who had it with chicken said the chicken was dry. ) And, it was a bit pricey for a lunch special. Think I will cross this off my list.More
The owner is always present to may you feel like family. The food is good every time we eat there. Never had a bad meal. My favorite dish is the General Tso.
