Visited early evening with family and our 1yr old Granddaughter. We ordered drinks, I asked for a Blue Moon which was unfortunately out of stock so I requested something similar. The barman recommended an Omme Gang which I agreed to have instead. When the bottle arrived I was very dubious as it’s described as having an orange peel and coriander flavour and I hate coriander! However, to me the lovely smooth dark liquid tasted of orange, clove and cinnamon with no coriander at all. I loved the Omme Gang from the Cooperstown NY brewery and will look out for it again. For starter we ordered the duck poutine which was plenty for the 4 adults in our party, even though my 1yr old granddaughter probably ate at least half of the dish. She couldn’t get enough of it! For main I ordered the pulled pork sandwich with sweet potatoes fries. Very tasty and probably the most crisp sweet potato fries I have ever had. We had wanted to sit downstairs but unfortunately we’re advised that the basement was only open at weekends. Our waiter was a delight, sorry I can’t remember his name. Can’t wait to go back next visit.

This is a neighborhood bar/restaurant. The cocktails are alight - nothing outstanding. The highlight of our meal was the Duck Poutine. The Duck Poutine had a balanced taste of grease, salt, potatoes and Duck. The Reuben was disappointing.

Cranford Hotel is a great place to gather. The crowd is friendly and you have choices on your mood we sat in the dining area near the fire place. You also can sit at the bar and outside on the closed in porch. We just went for dessert, coffee, and drinks. The Brownie was so good. Not real sweet even though the brownie was served with ice cream, The apple strudel was awesome. Don't forget the Baily Irish Cream which hit the spot with the dessert.

This was a favorite restaurant when we lived in New Jersey. Not living there anymore, but we still return for visits and that includes returning to our favorite local pub. Great atmosphere - especially if seated downstairs. That's a dining area that most people are not aware of. I understand it is under new management, but very little has changed. The only change I am aware of is that the long-time waiter, John, is no longer there. That's a shame because he was truly one of the most outstanding waiters of all time.

Can’t say enough about how impressed we were with the service and quality of food for our very special birthday party . Justin, Frankie and Jess treated us with such warmth and efficiency. Their personalities fit right in with our family and added to a very fun day. Not one detail was overlooked, and help was offered even before we asked! Special thanks for the assistance with securing those dang balloons! I highly recommend Cranford Hotel for your next party.

Nice choice of seating year round. Fireplace downstairs in winter, the enclosed porch in fall and in nice weather they put out tables outside. The pub food offerings are a little more pricey then others but somewhat reliable. Specials are interesting and the menu does change from time to time. The mussels, burgers and french dip have always been consistent.

I ordered the fish of the day which was scallops. I didn’t pay enough attention to the description. It never occurred to me that a chef would take a mild, delicate, sweet protein like a scallop and over power it with excessive spice. I could barely taste the scallop which is such a shame. The savior of the meal was the blueberry cobbler. Delicious!

This place is very comfortable and cozy with a nice fireplace in the back room and also pleasant seating on an enclosed porch with windows. Food is good, standard pub fare and nice wait staff. Very popular with locals

The Cranford Hotel is a lovely quiet restaurant locate in the center of Cranford. They keep their menu current with lots of interesting specials. The updated drink list is season appropriate and yummy!! Sharing dishes allows you to try extra items!! They have interesting appetizers and when you just want a burger they're really good too!

The atmosphere in The Cellar is great. It can get crowded but the room handles the noise well. Always a great list of craft brews on tap, many from NJ brewers. The selection changes regularly. It is so hard to pick something other than a burger. They are so good.

Few restaurants are open for Monday lunch, but this place is. We have a nice lunch next to the fireplace on a very cold day. We were the only ones there for lunch. The waitress was very nice and helpful. We both had excellent soup--onion and cream of mushroom, and calamari. It was supposed to be an appetizer, but the serving was enormous, a whole meal in itself.

Dined here for lunch recently on a very cold day. Thing 1: Asked to be seated somewhere warm - got closest table to the fireplace! Thing 2: Asked to substitute tater tots for the french fries - YES! Thing 3 Food was decent. Recommend. We enjoyed the reuben and a hamburger. Honestly I am a sauerkraut lover and have had the best in Germany and here in the US at a few places. This was not the best but the overall experience was lovely: food, atmosphere and service.

The staff at this pub were the best. Friendly and attentive. The kitchen put out some gross food. Luckily they did not make us pay for the food. Still left a nice tip for the floor staff. Skip this place if your hungry.

This place lives on its reputation, but the food is not great. Easy to review this place: Apps-I do not even get the port bun sandwich. What is it supposed to be? Two buns with almost nothing in it, and charge a lot for it. Calamari app was the best dish of the night, and it barely would pass as a decent app. Pizza- put sauce and cheese on a flour taco shell, and charge a lot. It really was bad. Two pizzas were both sad versions. Rueben-Extremely sad version of a Rueben. No cole slaw, skimpy on everything else. Skinniest Reuben I have ever had. Service was not good. The young guy would not even check on us. We had to stand up and flag him down to get his attention. When we were almost done, he decides to bring out an app that he forgot to bring. In fact, we were only half way done with the apps when they brought out the main courses. Ridiculous. They were putting dishes on the table next to us to fit everything. Again, service was terrible. To My Followers: Give this place a miss. It truly does not deserve your patronage. Any decent owner would shut this place down.
