Travelling to PA from NJ on I78. We originally planed on having breakfast in Easton. However, the sight of a train car inside a dinner caught our attention big time. We ended up exiting the interstate on the next exit and going to visit this...great place. One thing to notice, a lot of people coming in on a Saturday morning. Great unlimited salad bar, and a great traditional American Breakfast, for a great price. Of course we had to sit down in the converted train car. Beautiful experience. Wish I can see more of these ideas popping out all over Jersey...More

Will NEVER come back. Do NOT eat here!! Do not make a reservation here! The WORST customer service I’ve ever seen in the hospitality industry. They blame customers for their mistakes. They favor certain customers over others even though we are all PAYING customers. Cancelling...a planned months in advance and confirmed the week of reservation WEDDING BRUNCH for 70 people, then saying “we’ll try to accommodate you” even though it was their mistake for not knowing it was likely going to be a busy day, I mean everyone owns a calendar. There is even one on your phone. The owner was dismissive and kept saying 10 more minutes when they knew it was never going to happen and was just pushing us off saying he was losing money, when again we are PAYING customers. He did try to seat 6 people after 45 minutes of waiting when we then had 35-40 people waiting. Even his staff was apologizing for him and his antics when he never took any ownership for the mistake. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone, utterly rude, disrespectful and highly unprofessional.More

This used to be our go to Diner. Not anymore. The tip off should have been when we arrived the place was empty. Waitress was more interested in playing a game on her phone than helping us. Food was horrible. Scratch this one off our...list.More

My Wife and I stopped for a quick meal on our way home to Pa from the Airport. Food was very good, with large portion, salad bar was the best I have seen since before COVID. The waitress we had, didn’t get her name, was...very attentive. We both had a very positive, pleasant experience with our first visit, will make it a regular stop when traveling to and from the Newark Airport.More

My boyfriend and I came here on Easter Sunday. Owner always has a nasty scowl and never ever greets anyone with a smile. He is not even nice to his workers whenever we eat here. We were seated by a hostess that also was not...nice or even cared that we were joining them for a meal. Our waitress was horrible. She brought our food that actually was large portion and good but she never came to ask us if we needed anything or followed up on anything. She handed us our receipt and again did not ask us if we would like coffee or dessert. We needed take home container and had to ask her for one and really wanted dessert while we were there and had to ask her again when we got glimpse of her to get dessert. She changed our receipt and never once thanked us for eating there. Food good but the management, and staff absolutely horrible.More

This is my favorite restaurant when coming out of New York City. Whether it’s breakfast, lunch or dinner the service and food is always excellent. Plus it’s a unique place built as a historic railroad stop and outstanding bakery. Easy access to and from I-78.

I was just there and was treated in a horrible way by the young female receptionist. I stopped to purchase a 100 dollar gift certificate and wanted to grab a late lunch first. I was alone and requested a window booth and was told that...“none were available.” She led me to the cold and empty train car with tiny tables and hard chair seats. I spied an empty window booth in the front windowed area as we passed it and requested to sit there. She replied “Those seats are reserved for 2 or more customers “ and she refused to seat me there or anywhere else in the main comfortable dining areas. I said to her that “WOW. No one has ever said anything like that to me ever before.” She refused me seating in an empty and available table! They don’t take reservations there and she also lied to me that no window booths were available. I have been there before many times over the years with family and friends and given them lots of business in the past. Suddenly I am treated like yesterday’s garbage sitting on the curb, simply because I am alone. I have seen men dining there alone in the past. I know a man would have been given that window booth. I dine out alone frequently now that I am retired and have always been treated with dignity and respect at every other dining establishment. The management and receptionist at the Clinton Station Diner only have dollar signs in their eyes and avarice and greed in their hearts. Funny thing is that I was probably going to give them more money than anyone else in their coveted dining rooms. I also tip more generously than any couple does. I would recommend dining anywhere and everywhere else where You will be treated kindly and graciously. Especially , if You are solo, female, and a Senior Citizen.More

Omelette just ok, rye toast the blandest I've ever tasted. $3.49 is ridiculous for 9 oz of Pepsi, technically refillable, but waitress never came back or offered refill. At 3 pm, that's just lazy. Decor and restrooms dated and not very clean. Menu is way...too extensive. Below acceptable, way below its potential, disappointing as a jersey diner.More

7 new server people pile up on entrance, and I waiting for glass of water for 10 min ! 3 times I came forward and ask - zero. Then finally they took order - brings soup to my husband but forgot to bring mine. I...spoke about toilet condition for women with staff , many times for past 4 years - zero positive changes : water cold, no hand paper towels , nothing ( remember - COVID around, right?) . Btw , no sanitizers on table or restroom , as well as nobody checked on customers who is permanently sick: literally, every time I coming here ( and I promise- this is my last time)! somebody is sick here from customers , heavy coughing , sneezing - management don’t care! And again, servers is ok guys, child's, but this is all poor management doing, they have a lot of people work here and can’t organized it properly . So sad, as location was very convenient for us . Ah, almost forgot : questionable quality of club soda pincher cost $8.99! Why, for love if God?More

Superfriendly staff and very quick service made this stop a good one. Charming diner with actual train car seating. But we ordered from the (limited menu) drive-through. You order from a little booth. Guy taking our order offered us dessert- when we said no, he...said "what if it were on the house"? Chocolate chip cookie, here we come! Chicken sandwich was super-tasty, though the bun was plain and a bit dry. The fries were great. Chicken ceasar wrap was grilled, served hot, and had thick chunks of tomatoes inside. Cookie was a typical diner cookie, thick, crumbly rather than crunchy, and sweet. I like it but you gotta know what you're getting.More
