We heard about this restaurant which opened about 4 months ago and stopped in last night. The atmosphere is pleasant, comfy and festive with Mexican decor and music. The seating is family-style, with the tables having benches for seating several guests, if necessary, or sharing...with other patrons -- good for families, friends, couples and singles. The facility is family-owned and the greeter/server is the chef's wife who is lovely and very friendly, and told us the website is being worked on and should be up soon. She brought home-made tortilla chips and a bowl of fresh salsa to the table. There are also 2 different sauces on the table as well. We ordered the guacamole appetizer and shared it (enough for 2 people). We then ordered 3 tacos: Milanesa de Pollo (breaded, seasoned chicken breast); Pollo Barbacoa (shredded, lightly barbecued chicken) and Pescado (lightly-battered fried fish). Each was a portion of 3 soft-shell tacos with thin-sliced radish garnish and slices of lime on the side, as well as grilled scallion and cactus. The dishes were fresh, tender, and very tasty. We shared all 3 and we were very satisfied. The Flan de Cafe dessert is a delicious coffee flavored flan in a light sauce and large enough for 2 people to share. Casa del Taco is a BYO and we will definitely be going back soon!More

Great food. Great, friendly service. Told waitress the food was delicious and a little while later she let us know that the chef thanked us very much for the compliment. Some unusual choices on the menu and Mexican Coke! (real sugar, not corn syrup). Going...back soon without question.More
