I have eaten in the NYC version of this restaurant but the NJ place is far better. Gracious service, wonderful wine list and great authentic Italian food in generous portion- what more can one want. We started with amouse and then 6 different pastas each wonderful. I had a monster veal chop perfectly grilled. A brunello riserva capped our meal... More

This is our every time choice for a special occasion. We find it is the perfect storm of REALLY good food, excellent service, and lovely decor. It's also one of the few popular restaurants where you can carry on a conversation without shouting.

We had a reservation for a Saturday night for a special occasion. Arriving with bottles of wine we get to the restaurant to find out they charge $25 PER BOTTLE corking fee. My husband had been to the restaurant just the week before and there was no fee, but our waiter informed us that on Saturday's they had begun charging.... More

If you want the full experience of dining from cocktails to dessert and everthing in between....try Scalini. Service is wonderful and no hurry to make you move. Best Veal Milanese anywhere. Bring your appetite......lots to eat and try. My nieces really enjoyed themselves

The architecture of the room, the service, and the atmosphere were exceptional. The extras guarantee you will not walk away hungry. I would have given a better review if the meal was a little less expensive: $100 for prix fixe meal, two glasses of wine and tip. My appetizer and main meal were not very memorable.

Went on a Saturday night with another couple with high expectations. Ordered a salad and the branzino entree. Salad was bagged romaine with a dried out piece, tasteless piece of prosciutto and an even more tasteless sliver of what was touted as Parmesan.but could have been anything. Was looking forward to branzino and expected fresh fish. Fish was gloppy, unidentifiable,... More
