We have been visiting Cape May for over 15 years. We had visited the Merion multiple times in the past and the service and food were no more than average. We were out to dinner with three other couples and had made reservations for dinner here on Parade Weekend. I was apprehensive, but did not want to hold the group... More

Our first visit to this restaurant was for thanksgiving. The place was jammed, yet we were seated fairly timely. Our table was in a lovely alcove, where we never felt like we were there on their busiest day of the year. We both choose the traditional Turkey dinner. It was so good, our experience so lovely, that we returned the... More

going out on a holiday can be chancy. places do not have enough staff working, enough food purchased to take care of the crowd. over book etc. well the Merion Inn to say the least had everything covered. first the place was packed and when er got there for our reservation our table was ready. our server was prompt and... after trying a lot of restaurants in Cape May over many years this is the top one for us. Lovely ambience, great food, music and great service. It's a hidden gem I guess as we just discovered it this year but we'll be back. Great relaxed dining experience as it should be, great drink, delicious food, and music to dine... More

The food here is always amazing, have.had consistent good food every time. Service is average, the servers aren't as attentive as I would expect in a place like this. There is also always a wait, even if you have reservations. Overall though, the quality of food and portion size makes it worth it. Every time we have gone here they... More

We've been to the Merion many times because the food is wonderful. The staff is excellent. The restaurant is pretty and charming. We had a drink at the bar and our table was ready right on time. We go for the early bird because we like to eat early and then have time to walk around Cape May in the... More

Return trip with a group and not disappointed whatsoever. Great piano player, great food, very friendly and helpful staff and the ONLY place of the historical restaurants that put in a handicapped entrance.

I've been wanting to go to the Merion Inn for years now. The charming exterior, with it's striped awnings and beautiful window boxes, draw you in. Walking in you feel as though you've went back in time to the Victorian era. We sat down at the bar to have a cocktail before dinner. There was a piano player by the... More
