We're glad Louisa's has changed their reservation system, and Will, the gentleman who took our reservation, couldn't have been nicer. Louisa's continues to list their menu options on two large chalkboards. What we like is that now most of their food is locally sourced from Beach Plum Farm in West Cape May. We were told the seafood is also local,... More

My husband and I have heard good things about Louisa's for many years and thought it was about time we tried it. We were quite disappointed. The restaurant itself is lovely, a charming place. And the staff is terrific, very attentive and friendly. Excellent service. Sadly, the food was not up to the staff! The best dish we had was... More

The place was so good we went back the second night for more. My mother said it was the best fish she ever had.

Great menu and the scallops were cooked to perfection! I'm still obsessing over the cobbler made out of biscuits - two slices of heaven in one dessert. I could have made a dinner just from the dessert menu!

We had a fantastic meal here. The sweet corn and red pepper soup was amazing as were the noodles and ginger sauce. Price felt reasonable and if course the BYOB made this a great value. Definitely not waiting as long to return again.

Had a great meal with the freshest local ingredients. Cape May scallops were perfectly prepared and NJ tomatoes in the salad were amazing. BYOB. Wait staff was also great.

Thank you for the refreshingly "simple" meal. The scallops burst with the tamerind flavor. After reviewing the chalkboard that listed the various herbs, greens and veggies from the local farm....their flavors jumped out in the different components on the plate! Dill, cilantro, husk cherry, cabbage, cukes. Wonderful experience enjoying excellent ingredients.

Menu on a chalkboard changes daily (a little hard to read when someone is sitting in front of it). Fresh food--the salad was amazing. Fish was ok--a little dry. Dessert was delicious. It's BYOB--they will chill for you.

Louisa's Cafe came highly recommended - and lived up to its reputation. It's a very small place - so definitely make a reservation. We are vegetarians and found more than enough choices. The menu changes on a regular basis. The appetizers and dishes we ordered were the best ones in this trip, Being BYOB and located next to a wine... More

Description
Serving fresh simple seafood dishes here on Jackson Street since 1980. All our desserts are made right here each morning. Stop by the Chocolate Bar where we have the most delicious Artisan chocolate being made in the beautiful USA! Call for current hours. Our hostess is here at 4. We do not seat any children after 7pm - that is when we begin adult swim.

Have fun in Cape May and thanks for stopping by!
