Thank you for the refreshingly "simple" meal. The scallops burst with the tamerind flavor. After reviewing the chalkboard that listed the various herbs, greens and veggies from the local farm....their flavors jumped out in the different components on the plate! Dill, cilantro, husk cherry, cabbage, cukes. Wonderful experience enjoying excellent ingredients.

Menu on a chalkboard changes daily (a little hard to read when someone is sitting in front of it). Fresh food--the salad was amazing. Fish was ok--a little dry. Dessert was delicious. It's BYOB--they will chill for you.

Louisa's Cafe came highly recommended - and lived up to its reputation. It's a very small place - so definitely make a reservation. We are vegetarians and found more than enough choices. The menu changes on a regular basis. The appetizers and dishes we ordered were the best ones in this trip, Being BYOB and located next to a wine... More

Have been coming to Louisa's for over 2 decades but missed the last few years and was so pleased to come back this year and have another great meal. Louisa's was farm to table before there was a farm to table movement. Congrats to staff and owners for keeping up the great work! Excellence over so many years is not... More

What a quaint restaurant with a refreshing menu! All of our salads and entrees were delicious and well prepared. I will say that the brown rice side was a little undercooked and not warm enough but the rice tasted great! We also thought the presentation of the dark chocolate bread pudding made it look a little bit like meatloaf but... More

Second year stopping at the Chocolate Shop, HAVE NOT eaten at the Café! They have an excellent selection of chocolates, and we bought 11 (yes, eleven!) bars to take home and try in the evenings with a good cup of coffee. Very friendly staff and they know what they are selling. We even kept our package behind the counter to... More

Relaxed atmosphere with very attentive service. Many appealing choices, but we all (4 adults) chose the crab cakes and none were disappointed. With many Cape May vacations, this was our first visit to Louisa's. Top favorite for our week and we will return.

This is a great cozy place with very nice items on the menu. Great decor, but the food is the reason to go for sure. You won't be disappointed. Just bring cash; no credit cards.

Everything is so fresh, it's wonderful. A simple menu - usually a pasta, several fish and a vegetarian entree - no beef here. Known for their crab cakes, we tried the fresh flounder and veggie cakes and they were great. Appetizers include a variety of salads, a soup and an Asian dish of ginger noodles with peanuts and scallions. I... More

Description
Serving fresh simple seafood dishes here on Jackson Street since 1980. All our desserts are made right here each morning. Stop by the Chocolate Bar where we have the most delicious Artisan chocolate being made in the beautiful USA! Call for current hours. Our hostess is here at 4. We do not seat any children after 7pm - that is when we begin adult swim.

Have fun in Cape May and thanks for stopping by!
