My wife and another couple come to Cape May every winter. We have somehow avoided the Blue Pig Tavern. That was a mistake. We arrived and were seated promptly. Our server, Natasha was fantastic. She was attentive and friendly. The food was wonderful. The Eggs Blackstone and The Congressional were wonderful. We came back the next day and Natasha knew... More

Our adult children and I celebrated my husband's birthday here with dinner and a show. The "show" menu was just fine for all of us. The birthday boy enjoyed the meatloaf, and I was impressed by the delicious salmon ...cooked just as I ordered it! The "kids" enjoyed the other seafood entrees. My only complaint was the charge for the... More

Went to Cape May with my daughter and grandchildren in July 2016. We ate outside. Service was quick. Food was excellent and reasonable. Located at Congress Hall which is a beautiful place. The four of us enjoyed our meal. Much of the food is locally farmed so it's fresh. We live nearby, so this is definitely on my favorite list.

After showing my friends the highlights of this town, we topped off our visit with dinner reservations at the Blue Pig Tavern. It was decorated beautifully for Christmas, nice fire was burning in fireplace just short distance from our table, service was good and we thoroughly enjoyed the different dishes we chose from the menu. What a perfect way to... More

Enjoyed a nice meal over the holiday weekend. The restaurant was very busy but the food and service were excellent. We had the scallops and roasted chicken entrees, both were delicious. Our waiter was very attentive. Also had after dinner drinks in the Congress Hall lounge with live music. Relaxing end to a nice evening.

We eat at the Blue Pig at least once every time we visit! Great any time of day! I even bought china and napkins to have in my own home!

Have dined here many times and we were never so disappointed in both our meals and service. Even though their website noted that pot roast was on the menu, it was not. There was a beef stew. I should say vegetables and mashed potato stew. There was a few tiny pieces of beef, that was it. My husband had the... More

We ferried over from Lewes and took the shuttle to eat here. Not my first time but a unique experience. Lauren was our wonderful server. I have to say it was worth the trip to have their Clam Chowder. The beer battered haddock was also a winner. We will return come Springtime.

The omelettes are awesome with farm fresh ingredients. The chocolate chip pancakes were devoured as was the breakfast sandwich. A great breakfast experience and I don't normally like breakfast!!

Description
The Blue Pig Tavern serves American cuisine-nostalgic, simple and fresh. Executive Chef Jeremy Einhorn has implemented a delicious farm-to-table menu featuring fresh produce, herbs and eggs from our very own Beach Plum Farm, located less than 2 miles from the restaurant! In the warmer months, dine on our wonderful, secluded patio. In the cooler months, cozy up to our magnificent dining room fireplace. The Blue Pig Tavern drives its name from a gambling parlor sited at Congress Hall in the mid 1800's. Earlier still, in the 1700s, Elias Hughes operated a tavern for whalers on this site. It was the first tavern in Cape May.
