We really enjoyed our meal here even though it was a bit pricey. I had the Beach Plum Farms salad with vinaigrette & guacamole as my meal and he had a burger ($15!) Both were very tasty. Fresh, soft bread & butter to start was very good. Local beers on tap were cold and hit the spot. Nice environment even... More

Everything I ate was very good. Drinks and New England Clam Chowder came out in a timely manner. We waited over 30 minutes for entrees.

We were told by our B&B host that there was no way we would get a table at The Blue Pig Tavern without a reservation, but we risked it and were able to arrive around 7:30 and be seated by 8. It was our first night in Cape May and we started off with cocktails. If you are a whiskey... More

We came for breakfast. Loved the omelettes and waffle was fresh and crispy. Even the potatoes were prepared well. Great coffee and we had a nice meal in a great historic atmosphere. Nice staff too. Enjoy!

We use this restaurant which we have flavored in the past for a Pre Theater Dinner at the Cape May Stage. The place was very, very crowded with hotel guests that entered and exited the restaurant to and from the hotel. It was not a pleasant location to have been seated in the porch area not the outside. The service... More

My Caesar salad was WAY over-dressed.....I'm not usually one to complain about too much dressing. I ordered the Mahi-mahi special....it was flavorful, but over-cooked. Service was excellent, atmosphere (sit outside -- it's too loud inside) was great.

When my wife and I visited Cape May 30 years ago, Congress Hall looked like it was on its last leg. Now it has been restored to its former fine self, and with a great restaurant and bar scene, it is one of the nicest vacation experiences we've had so far.

The food is extremely fresh (they are affiliated with a local farm), and don't be dissuaded by its being in a hotel. The atmosphere is very laid-back, and many locals go there, as well. Roaring fireplace in the winter...

Visited the Blue Pig for dinner and then breakfast a couple of days after. The food is great and servers are very accommodating. It is a farm to table restaurant, with their farm being 5 minutes down the road.

This was a nice spot that had healthy options and causal fare. I would recommend his place for family meals.

Description
The Blue Pig Tavern serves American cuisine-nostalgic, simple and fresh. Executive Chef Jeremy Einhorn has implemented a delicious farm-to-table menu featuring fresh produce, herbs and eggs from our very own Beach Plum Farm, located less than 2 miles from the restaurant! In the warmer months, dine on our wonderful, secluded patio. In the cooler months, cozy up to our magnificent dining room fireplace. The Blue Pig Tavern drives its name from a gambling parlor sited at Congress Hall in the mid 1800's. Earlier still, in the 1700s, Elias Hughes operated a tavern for whalers on this site. It was the first tavern in Cape May.
