Being a chef I truly appreciate the little xtras most people miss , had great. Corn chowder, average corned beef sandwich but outstanding apple pie , the crust is probably the best I've ever had, service is always impeccable , can't wait to go back in December to see congress hall decorated for Christmas , first time for my 80... We really enjoyed are visit to the Blue Pig. We were given a coupon from the hotel where we stayed and thought we would give it a try. The hotel is full of history (built circa 1814) and is still going strong! The breakfast was unreal with eggs from a local farm, fantastic biscuits made from scratch like no other... More

We were glad to finally make it to Cape May. We opted for this restaurant as it was around the corner from our hotel. The place looked fine and we sat in the main room with the fireplace. It looked inviting on this chilly evening. They had a prix fix menu along with the normal one. I ordered from the... More

Stopped in during our visit to Cape May. This is located in the iconic Congress Hall that is cool to walk around in. There wasnt much ambiance to this restaurant with such an interesting name. Food was good and service was OK. Many other places in CM to choose from.

Reviews and friends built this restaurant up a little more than I think it deserves. First, the tables in the tavern area are quite close. While the food was good, I did have to send back my swordfish which was two very thin pieces which were both overdone. The waiter immediately took care of the problem and the replacement was... Not for lack of variety in the town, but every time we ate here there was something else that I wanted to try so we kept going back. The zucchini fritters were out of this world.

Great old barroom. Had oysters and beer and my wife had a burger. Bar itself has seats for about 16 people so bartenders are attentive and there are plenty of seats and couches in the room, too.

We had breakfast, lunch and dinner here and every one was awesome and unique. The service was also great. A little pricey but worth it. We had drinks and meals here and the outdoor tables didn't even wobble.

Thank Ronald R

The Blue Pig Tavern serves American cuisine-nostalgic, simple and fresh. Executive Chef Jeremy Einhorn has implemented a delicious farm-to-table menu featuring fresh produce, herbs and eggs from our very own Beach Plum Farm, located less than 2 miles from the restaurant! In the warmer months, dine on our wonderful, secluded patio. In the cooler months, cozy up to our magnificent dining room fireplace. The Blue Pig Tavern drives its name from a gambling parlor sited at Congress Hall in the mid 1800's. Earlier still, in the 1700s, Elias Hughes operated a tavern for whalers on this site. It was the first tavern in Cape May.
