It was nice to have a place to go to grab dessert later on a Saturday night. We stayed at the Star Inn across the street from Congress Hall and were craving something sweet. So, we popped across the road to the Blue Pig for dessert. I got the triple chocolate mousse cake and it was so rich and delicious.... More

Visited the Blue Pig over the weekend after wanting to stop in for a long time. We arrived for lunch and were seated promptly, we placed our orders and the pain immediately started. It took five....yes five requests through three different servers until my wife received a napkin she had requested and three requests to stop the table from shaking.... More

We had a good dinner with the family. It's better than most of the beach restaurants. Food was good, service was outstanding and it's a great environment for both families and adults. It is a bit expensive though.

Great dinner. Had angel hair seafood pasta and the pork belly mac and cheese. Will definitely go back when in Cape May.

Congress Hall is a great evening destination, but the Blue Pig's breakfast and brunch is great too. You can't beat the atmosphere! We just love it, and the food is amazing.

Great staff, good food and prices were fine. The kids were happy too. It was a nice place! The portions are pretty good sized so plates could be split. Excellent variety.

We've been here many times for breakfast lunch and dinner over the years. Creative menu, local fare and friendly staff. Very cozy setting, especially in the cooler months. We were there last month, and my husband got the meatloaf...oddly they must have e changed the recipe...I can see where adding a dash of spice (tasted like cumin) would be good,... More

Had a 5:00 reservation for 2 on a Friday night...didn't really need a reservation...started to get busy after 6:00. The fire place they have is very cozy. I had the crab cakes which are 👍🏻👍🏻 up! My bf enjoyed the meatloaf. We will be back.

Our post-Christmas, pre New-Year's Eve visit to the Blue Pig Tavern in Cape May's Congress Hall was enjoyable, and yet left us wishing it were more. We arrived at the establishment mid-afternoon during that "cavern" of time when restaurants are in between serving lunch and dinner. Our intention was to make a reservation and enjoy afternoon cocktails in their gorgeous... More

We love coming here to eat when we stay at Congress Hall. The atmosphere is so cozy, food is always delicious and service great! Our only complaint is my boyfriend would love to see the biscuits and gravy back on the menu (southern dish we had as a special back in November for his bday celebration) - Other than that,... More

Description
The Blue Pig Tavern serves American cuisine-nostalgic, simple and fresh. Executive Chef Jeremy Einhorn has implemented a delicious farm-to-table menu featuring fresh produce, herbs and eggs from our very own Beach Plum Farm, located less than 2 miles from the restaurant! In the warmer months, dine on our wonderful, secluded patio. In the cooler months, cozy up to our magnificent dining room fireplace. The Blue Pig Tavern drives its name from a gambling parlor sited at Congress Hall in the mid 1800's. Earlier still, in the 1700s, Elias Hughes operated a tavern for whalers on this site. It was the first tavern in Cape May.
