The old school attitude encompassed both the decor and the dining experience. The food quality was very good but lacked creativity. Service was good.

Once again the highlight of our trip while there are many great restaurants in Cape May this is a step above the rest. Excellent and original cuisine great bar and atmosphere. Expect to spend $50 per person "plus drinks. Reservations needed on weekend. Best deserts at the cape also. You will return

We just visited the Ebbitt Room for a special occasion celebration and were extremely disappointed by the food. Having dined in Cape May year round for decades, we had not been to this location for over ten years, and we were so looking forward to this night. The Inn is a charming historic location for an elegant dinner in Cape... More

but could use some "tweaking". We visited the Ebbitt Room last evening after not dining there for several years. The addition of the larger bar area is a definite plus. The patrons were very nice and the bartender Helen was excellent. However, the dining room is cramped and noisy which does not make for a relaxing experience. I think the... More

Had a very nice dinner in a semi-private room for six people. We dropped $700 including tip and were lingering over coffee. The manager entered and asked us to leave because they needed the table. The other table for eight in the room was vacant. About half of the main dining room was also vacant. I suggested we'd be happy... More

It was a really pretty bar! Bartender was great, drinks were great. We didn't eat - but would definitely go back.

Beautiful chandeliers and appointments. Very noisy atmosphere. Tables much too close together. Patrons packed together like a can of sardines. Bland food. I ordered the lamb, and my husband ordered the steak and crab cake. Neither were very good. Not bad - just average. With all of their advertisements, I had to try it, but I won't be back, and... Dear Patricia, I am so sorry to hear that your dining experience did not live up to expectations. We always strive to provide a memorable dining experience with tasty food and attentive service, but it seems that we failed to do so in your case. While many of our dishes are relatively "simple" and try to let the flavors of... More

Looking for a nice dinner out, we liked the reviews of Ebbitt Room and made a reservation. When we arrived, we were offered the option of sitting in the dining/bar room or on the back patio. Based on reviews noting the high noise level inside, we opted to eat outside. Based on what we could hear inside on trips to... More

Jeff M, Thank you so much for taking the time to share your feedback. I am thrilled to hear that you enjoyed your dining experience, from the tasty scallops to the attentive service. I too am a big fan of the outdoor dining area, and I'm glad to see that the ambiance was to your liking. While we do typically... More

My wife and I enjoyed a very good dinner here during our getaway (no kids!) over a weekend. The server was good - attentive and knowledgeable about the wines and the menu. We had pre-dinner cocktails that were excellent. Our food was very good as well. We sat in the back garden which was nice and relaxing with a romantic... More

Loved the small garden in the back (but wear the bug repellent). Jordan was attentive and helpful, excellent service. First time here after 10+ years coming to Wildwood/Cape May. Food was eclectic and tasty. Farm to table- deviled eggs were standout as well as calamari. Loved the raw tuna and the lamb shank special was outstanding. Desserts were also worthy... More
