Great experience - food was delicious, beer was cold and the customer service was wonderful! We started with the guacamole topped with ahi tuna and finished with blackened mahi-mahi and coconut shrimp tacos. Unfortunately I left my new jacket on my chair and didn’t realize...it until I returned home (8 hours away). I reached out to Taco Caballito and was contacted by Joan. Joan offered to return my jacket at no cost to me. When I offered to pay for postage and her time, she said that wouldn’t be necessary; they would take care of it. Thank you Joan and Taco Caballito for proving a wonderful dining experience and truly going above and beyond great customer service. I highly recommend a visit to Taco Caballito. Sheila B.More

Absolutely delicious!! The food is amazing and out of all of the incredible options for dining in Cape May, this is the place I would go repeatedly in the same stay. I would not hesitate to give it 5 out of 5 if our server...hadn’t acted like we were an inconvenience to her. She stormed off when we weren’t ready to order and never came back to check on us. The rest of the servers seemed very attentive and kind so you have a good shot of having a 5/5 experience.More

This place is so fun! They have low and high tables. Even the big doors are open on nice days right out to the sidewalk. The second night we ate here, we were able to sit upstairs and look out to the beach, it was...beautiful. There’s a wide selection of drinks, appetizers and entrees. The nachos are amazing and there are options to add meat, but are just as delicious without. The blood orange margaritas are amazing! We went back twice just for these, they are so refreshing, especially on a hot day. I had the chorizo street tacos. For my taste, there was a little too much cilantro, but it’s Mexican food. It’s to be expected. Great choice, we will be back!More

Old school taqueria. The food was unbelievably good. The selection of food mainly tacos was great. There is something for everyone. The Brussel sprout tacos were legit and I had the Al Pastor. There are many gluten free options as well. You need the online...menu for the allergy designation though. The size is no overly big but the flavors are. They offer some excellent drinks too for the adults. Love the set up here too. Very informal across from the beach. The seats were a little tight. Service was very good too. Everything comes out quick. No reservations so you might wait a bit. You can get a text when table is ready, so that’s good.More

We stopped in for a couple drinks on a hot afternoon...Vaughn was our bartender, quite a friendly guy and very efficient and attentive. Nice crowd... We'd go back in a heartbeat Customers said food was good but we had a dinner planned

My husband and I love Mexican food and the more authentic, the better. We tried this place while on vacation. It was pretty busy for 4 PM, but then we realized it was Taco Tuesday; no problem, as we weren't in any hurry. But the...first indication that this might be a pricey meal was the charge of $11 for chips and salsa. Our experience is that most Mexican restaurants provide this for free. That said, we ordered the Guacamole and Chips, which were very good. I had the Burrito Carne Asada Bowl (which was also very good), and my husband had two tacos. The total for food, two cocktails and tip was $90. We'll probably try another place next time.More

Drinks and food were amazing! Our only gripes were that the music/band was so loud you couldn’t talk or hear anyone and that it took over 2 hours for tacos. But the best jalapeño margaritas & tacos! Try the Brussels sprouts tacos; they are the...bomb!More

The restaurant is really loud in the evening so if you have kids that aren't okay with that, you might want to get take out. The food is outstanding though.

We enjoyed tacos for lunch during our stay in Cape May. It was great to escape the beach for a bit to enjoy delicious tacos (the coconut shrimp ones were unique and fantastic) and a nice cold beer. Server was great. A nice addition to...the bar/dining scene.More

Take a seat outside on the porch area on the second floor, and enjoy a breeze and a view while chowing down on chips and amazing guac. Service was great! Haven't had a chance to preview the music downstairs, but I prefer the quiet of...upstairs anyway. You can get the best of both (and awesome tacos) at this fun place.More

Just went in for a bite and What a surprise. I started with the frozen margarita which was delicious and also ordered the smoked brisket taco. It was to die for! A party in my mouth. If that wasn't enough, our server cheyanne was attentive...and so very cordial. We are definitely going back there.More

Went for lunch today and would highly recommend. The food was fresh and very tasty, had a mixture of fish and steak tacos and some guacamole and chips. Didn’t sample the margaritas as we have been having too much much fun in the past week...but the drinks menu looked amazing. Service from our waiter Darren was outstanding, probably the best service we have had for a very long time. He was really passionate about the food on offer and couldn’t have been more helpful. If we lived here this would definitely be a regular hangout for us. Keep up the good work guys!More
