I ordered for curbside pick up and I asked my husband to check the bag as I felt like the person taking my order on line was rushing. I asked my Husband to check the bag before leaving to make sure our order was correct....My husband order the flounder, scallops and shrimp platter, sides onion rings and cole slaw for $24.95 and 2 fish tacos. SO DISAPPOINTED!! The fried flounder was the size of a Gordon's fish stick and 3 small scallops and 3 small shrimps! I was so very disappointed! In total, our meal was over $36! I called to express my disappointment to the manager and he stated it is nothing he could do! I have ordered food from Blue Claw in the past and the quality and quanity of food was good. I understand we are currently in Covid times but this is ridiculous!! PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!More

I dine at the Blue Claw Eatery frequently. In my opinion, there is nothing like it in New Jersey. Its worth the price. My guests I bring there ask me how I found this place. My wife and I eat here for all our special...occasions. The fish is always fresh. Keep up the good work.More

This place sucks, everything they serve is out of a box or a can. I ordered clam chowder which was the same as a cambles can, I ordered shrimp which was pre fried shrimp. and the chicken wings (all drummets). the good news is that...I paid the price that I would have if everything was prepared fresh, and i only had to wait for 320 minutes!More

The food is way overpriced and the quality is subpar. I know we are in a Pandemic and everything is over priced at the moment but I paid $82 for a small pan of snow crab legs, steamed shrimp, fries, and three pieces of corn...on the cob. I requested fried shrimp and was provided steam shrimp that was not cleaned at all. If you are going to get my order wrong at least provide me with something edible. I called the restaurant and voiced my concerns all to be told by the person who took my order that she did not take my order. She informed me she would get the person who took my order (not sure what difference that would make) then placed me on hold and later hung up the phone in my face. Beware of this place. It’s a rip off. Check your food before you drive off.More

We have been coming here for years. The place doesn't like like much and in fact might even look like a dive, but appearances are deceiving. If you are looking for atmosphere, you won't find it here. What you will find is great tasting food...and of course, their specialty is crabs, all kinds of crabs with your choice of Old Bay seasoning, Garlic and Butter, or spicy. Large menu with all kinds of fish and seafood entrees available. You can BYOB or choose a beverage served in a large mason jar. Limited children's and landlubber menu available. The place is small so if you do not have reservations, expect a wait especially on weekends. Even with a reservation there can still be a short wait and do make sure that your whole party is there otherwise you won't be seated with or without a reservation. This is clearly posted as you enter.More

Went to the Blue Claw this past Friday evening. Had a reservation for 5:30 and were immediately seated. It took a little bit for someone to take our drink order and then the food order. Not sure why because they were not crowded yet. We...had the fried calamari as an appetizer. It was light, crispy and very good. I had a bowl of the Clam Chowder. It had a really good taste, but it was lacking in clams. Only a few small bits of clam. For Dinner, my wife had the Fish Tacos which she said were very good. I had steamed crabs. When you go to the case up front, they have crabs displayed that range from $3 a piece to $8 a piece. They did have a few larger ones. I got 5 of the $8 crabs, 2 spicy and 3 with Old Bay. The crabs were very large and tasted excellent. The only issue I had was that 1 of the crabs must have recently shed its shell and when they do that, they are very empty with virtually no meat. A second crab was close to that, but not too bad. Two of them were really heavy and packed with meat. I would think if I am paying $8 for 1 crab, the chef should make sure they are good heavy crabs and not light paper shells! They can easily tell the difference. All in all it was a good meal. Some recommendations for the restaurant include: The service could be a bit more attentive, the chowder needs more clams, and the steamed crabs need more of the seasoning. You can spend a lot of money here, but the food is pretty good.More

Always enjoy coming here. The seafood bisque was delicious. A little pricey but worth it. The restaurant has a very interesting sea motif.
